opticswarehouse.co.uk in Devon list a Tikka T3 picatinny rail (short action), a genuine Sako part, for £42.

My choice would be to build a 6.5x284. In fact one will be my next rifle. Barrel life will be short say 800 - 1000 rounds but you can't have it all. And 1000 is a lot of deer and fox. For accurate long range shooting hold over just wont work. You will need to dial in for wind and elevation. Good ballistic software is a must, your greatest learning curve will be learning to read the wind at extended ranges. However, your first 500 yd rabbit will I imagine make you the happiest fella in the world.

It actually states on the front of your fac what you have to do. See condition 3....... The holder of the certificate must, without undue delay, inform the chief officer of police by whom the certificate was granted of any change in his permanent address. Obviously when you move your security arrangements must be secure. You should install your cabinet as soon as you move in etc. Write to your issuing firearms department informing them of your new address. They will pass your file on to the new firearms department who will contact you and issue you with a replacement fac and they

Not actually true, Natural England's latest information quotes that the current population is 35% - 40% of pre 1952 levels and is increasing at the rate of 2% per year.

Unless you really are a crap shot I suspect that you are just getting a little excited. Take your time and let the birds get in a little closer and have committed themselves to landing. Pick the easier ones so that you hit a few and build up your confidence. I don't know what chokes you are using but if you are able open them up a bit to something like improved cylinder and half. Make sure you don't move or twitch till you are ready to shoot and cover your face with something. Just remember though that by acting as a noisy scarecrow you are doing a good job for your farmer !. Richie Yes, what they did for you is correct. A charge only applies if you increase the number of "slots" you have.
-
just ask for a "one for one" they wont be any charge, well my feo didnt charge... You can do a variation but they will charge. The free one for one is for when you swap like for like .222 for another.222 it depends what your firearms officer is like!! what you on about ? what would be the point of swapping a calibre for the same calibre ?? a one for one is to swap over two different calibres.. i recently done a one for one from a .38/357 to a .22 with no charge, that is classed as a one for one. F**k Me ..yet another balls up between police regions...a one for on

Mr L Until recently I had a .204, .223 and a 22.250 for my fox/vermin work (I have had the .204 for a couple of years now). I found that I was using the .204 virtually all the time, the .223 had not been out of the cabinet for over a year so it's gone to be replaced by something else. However I digress. I have really fallen for the 204, it's inherently accurate and when using 40gr is more than up to the job of dropping Mr Fox at ranges up to 300+ yds. We have some big fields and valleys here and longish shots are a must and the .204 is more than capable. As a crow round it's fantastic, l

Mr L Big mistake !!!!!..............should have put in for a .204 in addition to the .243. You could have then compared the two and seen what a fantastic round the .204 really is.

Dekker Like yourself mine gets used at work. My .22rf is conditioned for vermin, ground game, fox and the humane killing of animals.. Incidentally, medium size quarry is fox, feral cat and other similar sized quarry whereas small quarry is rat, hare, rabbit, squirrel and other similar sized quarry. This info has been taken from the HO guidelines chapter 13. Therefore if your fac states medium sized quarry you cant shoot hare, rabbit and crows etc.
-
Simple answer........................No.
-
Never fired mine side by side but I would say about the same as .223.

You better had get some land chap ! because until you do you can't apply for your fac. -
You are almost right, they were in fact called No 3 rather than 3 bore. I had one when I was a boy, I think it was a Webley, 3 shot bolt action smooth bore. Used to buy our shot gun license in the Post Office in those days for 7/6d. Great for rats in the old swill shed.

When one applies for a fac everyone associated with the applicant may be subject to a check. I quote below the relevant passage from the ACPO "Procedural Good Practice Guide" ...........food for thought !!! • Consider character of applicant and third parties (family, friends, associates, other residents) and where appropriate conduct PNC/CRO and criminal intelligence checks. Considerable care must be taken when conducting these checks as there is likely to be an infringement of Article 8 European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). The Family, Friends and Associates of the individual ap

No, not yet. Earliest date quoted for a vaccine for cattle is 2015 and for badgers 2014. Earlier this month the government announced a further £20M funding for research over the next 3 years. This will take the overall spending on vaccine research to £38M+.

My feo told me that for c/f's the HO guidelines, for non target shooters is buy 200, keep 250 and for rim fire it's 500/750 but as with all things you can have more if you can show need.

It is not a caliber problem, my 204 shoots good groups all day long and I only clean it when the groups start to open. How does it shoot without the mod
