  4. must admit it's a good piece of kit ive even got used to the noise,i'm just a bit gutted that one of my mkm collars needs the batteries removing every time Ive used it,but then again i also have a mk3 collar that needs the batteries removed every time ,one word of warning though DO NOT touch the batteries with yer fingers cos they will lose power get some plastic tweezers

  6. must agree steer clear of shit batteries the bargain ones off ebay if they sound to good to be true they will knacker your collar get hold of sony ones if you can they last ages,one of my collars leaks power even though i turn it off i now have to remove the batteries,get yourself a battery tester for a couple of quid and you can keep an eye on power levels atb al

  10. personally i would check the second hand market keep your eyes peeled for a bsa lightening,you will not go far wrong i know what it's like when your waiting to find a bargain theres nothing about then three will come at once good luck with your quest atb al

  13. i dropped it mate and the ferrite rod broke i got another from maplins but the readings were all over the place,think theres more damage than i first thought
  14. due to my mk3 box being knackered i was thinking about a mk1 box,how accurate are they with the mk3 collars any advice welcome

  18. any of you boys and girls happen to have a mk3 box only for sale or one that is knackered that i could take parts out of,as mine became the victim of gravity the ferrite rod has snapped and whilst taking it apart the magnet in the on off switch has done a runner ive glued the ferrite rod back together but it's not reading right :wallbash:any suggestions or anyone selling a box let me know regards alan
  19. dont think the cold will have killed it mate,did you keep an eye on the water bottles,if they were frozen solid it had no access to water, just a thought
  20. give longnetter a shout mate he will sort you out with some 10z nylon ones for a pound each plus postage and they are spot on,and dont give up on the other ferret they are still young,all my ferrets performed better in their second season, even though i still have my favourite workers who will be first out of the box and start getting your hands in them guts :sick: yer cant rely on yer old man all the time
