  1. Again, Craig's hit it on the nose £40 ish I wasn't thinking of the rabbit stopper though. Crosman have a few designs that are similar and sold the designs to the chinese, hence the QB78 is made by the Chinese and sold as a Westlake something or other and the SMK QB
  2. I would have said either the QB78 or one of the Crosman models. Does it have a thing on the left that moves in and out when you pull the bolt backwards and forwards? Tony
  3. Not sure what you mean by "Some Wounded" As for tips? The entire Corvid family are bloody smart little beggers So your best bet is to be very well concealed. Build a good hide if possible and use either some bread or a dead bunny laid out on the targeted field. Avoid chest and other body shots unless you know the anatomy of the quarry and know where to put the pellet. Best bet is the head shot, so lay any bait out within your comfort range. One thing to note is that it has been known for flocks of Crows to mob shooters if they see you as a threat. Good luck with the permission
  4. Have a wander down your local shooting shop and ask to look at a variety of models, see which one feels good to you Then have a look for a second user one of that model. £120 you will be very lucky to find a new gun at that range. The EB model 55 is a reasonable gun but the trigger is fair to crap. Another advantage of going second user route is that the gun will already be run/bedded in and smoother than one new out the box Tony
  5. Although not strictly legal (believe it or not ) those kinds of comercial caties are very low power so tend to (added to the fact fishing is seen as a peacefull hobby/sport) be overlooked. Most police officers wouldn't have a clue about their legality However, comments like those above Mike (especially if you put them into practice in the real world) would certainly draw their legality into question and then you would have to rely on wrist and arm action/technique to deliver your groundbait in a very short time
  6. Lewis, The ONLY thing you should be aware of is that if you are within 50feet of the centre of a public highway (or back lane in your case) is that if someone walking past hears your gun being fired and it "Scares" them, then you are committing an offence. But you seem to have that angle covered by checking before you are firing If you/your stepfather were to ask someone to wait until you've taken the shot you may think thats good, but in actual fact, you are hindering them and again if that person whinges to the police, then again an offense has been committed Its very very complicated
  7. Catties are only legal for two things 1/. Competative target shooting. 2/. Hunting Bunnies So if your out and about with your catty and you get pulled for having an offensive weapon in the street, your on your way to your permission for some bunny bashing or on your way home from doing same
  8. You won't get that gun in this country capable of putting any pellets out at 1000 fps What will happen is that either the spring will be cut down or replaced when it either gets here or before its shipped over to the UK. Most guns will give good results with Air Arms Fields These in .177 weigh in at about 8.4grains and to give 11.5 ft/lbs at the Muzzle will require a speed of 785.1 feet per seconds to get it to the max legal limit then the pellet needs to hit 801.9 feet per second. Differing pellet weights and BC's etc require a different speed to get to the same 12ft/lbs sooooo. I
  9. Forget the 1000 fps in this country unless you have an FAC, its not going to happen. A pellet weighing 7.4 grain travelling at 1000 FPS would put it at about 16.5 ft/lbs Tony Ps Welcome to the forum
  10. I hear you and totally agree but apart from shelling out to organisations such as BASC etc.. what can we do? Anyone have any sensible suggestions? Tony
  11. Cool, let us know when you've got the cash and make sure you've recorded the time an date and what he said (Sorry I can be cynical about things until you've got your cash in your hands). Tony
  12. I used to have a Crosman Powermaster 66 multipump that fired .177 bb's and pellets. Got shut of it back in the 's but would love to get my hands on another.
  13. The gun only retails at about £630 to £650 I'd take it and see if she will chuck in the charging gear as well Tony
  14. Welcome to the forum Sorry can't help with your question other to say probably Tony
  15. What model is it? I picked up an 822 at the meet for a £5er
  16. And a shoot Perhaps a bath might help  I'll get me coat, you call the cab
  17. Forgot! Scope I would go for the Hawk High Def Range largest objective lens possible, I have had no problems with the Ultrafire lamps, mine have 300 lumens and are great for out to 40 yards through the scope (further for spotting). Tony
  18. Hi Bud, The S200, S410 and the Ultra are all superb as is the Scorpion. I think out of them all, the 410 is the heaviest (long time since I used one). As mentioned previously, a spacer may be needed, but having said that a friend of mine is almost 7ft and he finds my guns easy to use. Tony
  19. That particular one was putting out 11.75 with Bisley Mags, less with other pellets. Think they run at about 10 to 11 out of the box.
  20. Hi John, My S200 was made in Uherský Brod and has the factory stamp on it, so its multi-national  Tony
  21. Because the new MKIII's in the S200 all seem to be running at sub9 ft/lbs whick is okay for nominal ranges but I like to go a little further. Couple of examples: Tony
  22. Long story budd but it left me witha section one caution fecking police sgt trying to be more than he is Can't say too much as I'm in a legal battle with this twating sgt! Tony
  23. I'd go with the Ultra But I use an S200 ) only because the Police took my Ultra  Tony Oh .22 cal
  24. Me too Simon. It will be so good to see a British brand back in the forefront of things again
