Why thanking you kindly my good chap but it is you calling me god not I However there are a number of people who regularly call me by that, so I just go along with it The wife does it the most when she's hell bent on winning an argument usually at the end when she says "Oh God, theres not talking to you is there" or "God why don't you keep the place clean" or "God why don't you p!ss of out and go shooting" :laugh:

    Actually, Gentlemen; I have given this matter a great deal of thought today; while I've been sat in the garden stripping the fat and membrane from the pelt of a previous kil F K it's hard work aint it? Anyway, I after much deliberation with my self have come to the conclusion; and this should prove to be a definate end to that age old question once and for all. The Answer to the best time to shoot a rabbit is as soon as your breathing is steady and the crosshairs are on the sweet spot of bunnies noggin..... Gotta go, my taxi's here :laugh: Phantom

    Was gonna do it this evening, but these two kits are too young to drink, so they're getting a stirfry veg, noodles and a hot kung po sauce. Or should I do sweet and sour Decisions, decisions. Phantom

    After last night, Id say the best time to shoot them is when I'm not there Got to my permission yesterday about 17:30, the place was crawling. Checked zero, One shot at a bunnies head and that was the last I saw for the next 4 hours until I came home! Phantom

    Nice job Mal We have a number of Blackies around here, each year the young ones will more or less feed from our hands One year we had a couple that wold actually take the odd bit of bread from our hands. We are lucky that the Corvids tend to stay towards the open patches on the green and one of the neighbours front gardens who feed the big black nasty creatures. Only had one Magpie in the garden.     Is that one of those multi pump pnuematics? If so, you may find your arms start to ache a fair bit. About 20 years ago, I had Crosman Powermaster that required 10 pumps and it was very accurate and although I only ever used it for plinking, I think it would be able to hold its own in the hunting stakes.     Thanks guy's Aaron, I thought about that, but the number of shots that have just gone through the Craniums of young kits and the fact that these two bunnies were sat virtually touching each other gave me the confidance to take the shot. I was actually expecting the shot to go through both lungs and heart. As I mentioned though, the 2nd one moved a fraction which caused the pellet to go through one lung and the heart. The rest of the energy eas expended inside the wall of the chest and I knew that the second kit would certainly not have made past a few feet. You can get a good feel of

    Thank you gentlemen for the compliments I would have never have even considdered that shot if it hadn't been for all the helpful advice I have received from many of the more experianced hunters both here and elswhere. I have learned so much from you all and by watching people such as John Darling, Steve Price and James Duglass on DVD They and you all have helped me turn my paper punching Marksmanship skills into Good Hunting Skills.
