Thanks Guy's Monumental thread drift indeed Si: Like you I do like the FX16's but I can get tighter groups with the AAF's (we are talking maybe 3mm tighter) But I got them because there were only one tin of each left on the shelf and I don't know when I will be back in the city so grabbed as many as I could afford or not really as the wife made it clear to me I pointed out that just one tin of pellets has saves us a fortune in buying meat Matt: I wouldn't use them for plinking with an air pistol, I take pride in my pistol shooting Phantom -
Thanks for the reminder Aaron, Look forward to seeing them both on here Once you've popped one, the other will come back to investigate the dead one, possibly more will come to be nosey after that. I'm going to have another go at the Corvids with some eggs and a Deek or two Phantom

Crap!!!! I just wasted money buying oil for my baby when I had a can of WD40 in the shed! I'd heard that it was not the best stuff to use many years ago so I've never used it for general cleaning of rifles If you'd have asked yesterday you could have saved me some money Phantom

Well Done Shay The rifle looks thouroughly sweet and that was absolute Perfection on the Squizzer and Kit Thats what its all about I can just imagine what that bunny was about to think as it looked up! Something like "Ouch! Where did that fooking head ache come from?" "Can someone please tell me what just mashed my matter?" "Phew that nearly hit me, Oh sh!t it did!" And my favourite line from 'Finding Nemo' " Nope nothin' in the noggin' " (its just been blown out!) Phantom -
There aint nothing wrong with a good vally to shoot in Davy as long as its not on the same sex But having said that I know a couple of very nice ladies that like to go down each others vallies Don't think they do much shooting though  Phantom

Hi Wurz, I tried to get some FTT's today but the shop had none left So I left with a tin of AAF's and a tub of FX16's totalling nearly 25£ Wife is NOT impressed. John Darling reckoned that the Liver, heart and kidneys make a good pate' but I'm not one for that kind of thing. The meat of a kit taste's fantastic Taken me 40 years before I tried Beef Paste Sarnie's Thanks for the compliment re the write ups, I'll continue to do em while they are appreciated by so many I like to read and appreciate other peoples write ups as well, especially the detailed ones that place the rea -

Hi Lee, There are two types of Cemetery that I am aware of. Sean will correct me if I'm wrong The first is the type that are run by the Local Authority Councils and the second is run sort of 'privately' by local Church Council's such as the one I shoot. I chose to email the local Arch Bishop who told me it was down to the local Vicar but he would send her my email. I figured I didn't stand a chance due to an unfortunate incident in the church a few years ago She took the matter to the Parochial Church Council, who decided to give me a trial of three months, after seeing the figure -

Yeah, there was a complaint So I did the synopsis before I did the essay I left out quite a lot, like the Red/Ginger fur I saw between two headstones, Waited with baited breath for an eye to appear to catch aslug. Fecking appeared allright, Big bugger too it was attached to a fecking moggie Then as I got ready to go home, I saw a dark shadow about 5 or 6 inches in length moving along the groud at speed, Lamp on, bright silver eyes reflecting the lamp Rat I thought and drove the bolt forward Feck me it was a ruddy HedgeHog, that was one lucky prickly git Just shows how yo -
If you have the knowladge, confidance and skill to do it, then yes I would say it was indeed humane I don't know the anatomy of the birds, so I would not have the confidance to take a heart shot yet However should I be in that situation where I do need to take a heart shot I will find an informative image showing the location of vital organs and study it, then the confidance would come, just as it has done with the bunnies I shoot Phantom

Thanks Davy, I was hoping for an hour or two tonight, but I had to go pick up my script after 19:00, then waited in the Pharmacy for what seemed like forever. I've just been watching my AAS200 Servicing DVD I'm thinking of giving it a good ole strip and a bit of grease on the sears and cocking bolt (starting to get a bit stiff/gritty). I also want to get some oil on the paint work. But now its spot on again at 30 yrds I don't want to do it until my new scope arrives later this week (hopefully) Tell you what though as soon as the DWP cough up the brass they owe me, I'm having a 10shot -
Nice going. Not sure where the "Farmers don't like kids" came from Most of them have their own And we all know that Welsh Farmers just love Kids They don't have to crouch down in their wellies so far  Phantom

Silencer on spring action.
Phantom replied to airgunner106's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have silencers for both my PCP and Springer The standard AA one on my PCP was good, but not great. I then ordered a UK Niel silencer for my springer. I put it on the PCP and WOW far superior to the AA one. Did a few mods to the AA one and its now a discreate phut! The UK Niel one is back on the springer where it belongs and is excellent. Now my springer is an SMK XS19 and it was very loud. Silencer work's a treat there is noise from the action, but I have dampened that by putting some felt pads between the wood of the stock and the metal of the action. Now at 30 yards all the bunnie -
Most landowners are aware of BASC, what they are not aware of though is that the BASA insurance is (I believe and am open to correction, read it somewhere) actually a sub-something or other of BASC and is underwritten by the same company as BASC. Makes you wonder how much "Markup" BASC put on it to make a profit If anyone knows and can prove any different, I'm open to being corrected Gonna have to dig out my paper work and read it from start to finish again now aint I? I would only aim at a birdy's noggin Wouldn't have the confidance to take a shot at a heart thats hidden with wings, breastbone crop and massive pec's. Thats the only reason I would go for a .177 the more forgiving trajectory for things like birds. Phantom

Cheers Guy's Stealthy: Yeah I thought it must have just been the previous tin of them, so I opened a new tin of the Milbro ~Cal's. Dont be daft! I didn't buy them I was given 2500 of them when I collected my SMK19. Funny thing about that though, I used em for plinking with paper and knockdowns in the garden and they were reasonable in that rifle but they were nowhare near as good as the AAF's in the 19, I could get 2 or 3 AA's up each others skirts. The Milbro Cal's in my opinion are just ...... well I've still got about 1500 of them left after 2 years.... Must admit, I really was -
Fun Time Yeah they are cheaper, but their very unreliable its a pain running up to bug's asking him to hold the end and then run back to your zero shouting over to him to drop the tape and face sideways. Half the time, he's either dropped it and run off or he's swallowed a couple of yards so your gonna go over his head and he sits there calling you a lousey shot Phantom
