    very powerful picture mate...I have no love of rats whatsover and any good rat is a dead one in my book.

    In my experience you can often tell if a dog is going to switch on to this type of quarry. Other times it's quite often an event or set of circumstances that flips the switch....this can go either way but the ones that develop an antipathy toward fox usually carry it with them to the grave.

    touche'..........point taken how do work that out .?? a lurcher is a x of a (working dog = collie,gundog,terrier, to a running dog ) a 1x is the start of any line of lurcher, and regards litter wastage, any dog with half running dog should catch a rabbit and thats the quarry today, even collies,gsds, labs can the odd rabbit, so stick 50% greyhound to it carnt see they will that much wastage .!! I think the point he's making Ray is technically the breeds mentioned were long dogs not lurchers.

    The past is there to be learned from, folk should be looking forward and moving on, instead of looking back trying to find a reason and someone else to blame for their problems in the here and now. Try telling that to the newco Ranjurs supporters :laugh:

    For me one of the best threads on here for awhile....one thing bothering me though....Hares like most animals in the wild use the same routes and scent marks to navigate from place to place, releasing her is going to be a very dangerous time as she will be new to the area. I hope it goes well and ends well and it would be great if you had some way of recognising her in the wild....anyways best of luck and your kids can be really proud :thumbs:
