    fh the dog in the first pic is the spit of my bitch pup. Hows it bred ? the breeding goes back 23 years, mainly just working patterdale to working patterdale i started this breed as i said 23 years ago the first bitch i started the breeding with was given to me as a present, i mated her to a dog i went from there now i have her, and many more like her, ive never bought a patterdale always bred them the bitch you see in the 1st pic is going back to the dog in the 3rd pic, thats a nice little dog/bitch you got there good strong head hope she does you proud.     Was doing the same today myself. Ran through 2 holes wi Sam the man but nothin hame. the wee bitch self entered for the first time though fingers crossed there. Nae holdin back the brinde bitch noo shes feckin mad for it mate. Shes about 22-23" and slimmed right down lookin good.

    When I give them raw meat they won't eat it, wierd! I've tried them on raw rabbit, chicken and beef and they just kick the dish over and leave the meat. Is that normal if they're not used to raw meat? Wean them off the dried food gradualy i.e a dry portion and a raw portion once a day to start with. After a couple of weeks they SHOULD BE EATING RAW WITH NO PROBLEMS AND NO STRESS INCURRED. Apart from anything else, Wellbeloved, or any other dried food is GROSSLY OVERPRICED!     Knocked up some Venison burgers for dinner tonight with the hand mincer. Very tasty if I say so myself! heres what I used: 1bl minced venison 8oz minced pork belly 1 slice wholemeal bread 1 small garlic clove 1 small onion 2 teaspoons blackcurrant jam 1 egg salt and black pepper Mixed the pork and venison, blitzed the onion and garlic, blitzed the bread. mixed all ingredients in a bowl and minced again. weighed off and pressed 8, 1/4 pounders from this mix. served on thickly sliced toasted hedgehog bread,topped with chestnut mushrooms, a splsh of reggae reggae bbq sauce and smok

    best of luck mate. make sure you set them on runs about a meter out from the fence as a snared rabbit rattling about in a fence wiil alarm everything else along that fenceline

    IMO Mate, feed them raw if you can. You will notice a difference in their condition fo a start. Wellbeloved is arguably the best dried food out there but ferrets eat meat end of Its all in the fur and feather! I agree with Stealthy, if a bury is empty, its empty! a ferret will stay with a rabbit till the conclusion. If the rabbit bolts.........grand. If not......happy diggin

    An old Steel belt tyre cut to size works. After a couple of attempts at chewing they realise that steel on teeth isnt a nice feeling and tend too leave it alone just keep a close eye on the dogs mouth as some terriers and bullxs ar'nt to quick on the uptake lol. THIS DOS'NT ALWAYS WORK!

    Agreed! Had 2 myself and would definately NOT have another. 1st one (Rreg) was an absolute pig. at 55000 miles the water pump went thus blowing the cylinder head and was slow as feck. Second one, an 03 plate Kalahari was, as I thought at the time a bargain . Great interior, all the toys and 1/2 decent in the field. @ 77000 tapits are away, faulty electrics, 2 water pumps later and various front end mechanical problems. OK for the school run but not partial to country life......ie DOGS. The boot space is shit! DON'T DO IT MATE
