    these dont sound good mate. keep them seperate so any infection does not spread between them. get some flea powder and cover them,and any bedding in it, if the jill is loosing weight could be a kind of flu, i would 1st check her mouth make sure she can close it properly and has nothing wedged in her teeth or throat,this can happen if fed rabbits ect. try her on an easily digestable food eg bread& milk then put her on proper meat, birds or rabbits. i would do the same with the hob if he is down in condition 2 remove what ticks you can, you could use tick and lice spray used on

    To be honest lad, I agree with old nog. I did the NC Gamekeeping and estate Maintenance (2 yr block release) with a top notch placement, won the the Gleneagles trophy for top student followed by a HNC Gamekeeping and wildlife management elmwood college, and most of the estates I applied for work werent interested

    I've now got 3 security lights. A 500w flood on the back of the house, a spot on the kennels (which shines on the hutches) and a spot on the shed(which shines on the kennels) and this still wasnt a deterent as they turned the feckin things round to face the other way! So, the next move is to raise them up a bit.

    fk mate is it that bad there not good at all that well you got it sorted now by the looks of it hope they come back and you catch them. they are all scum but like i said the offer is here mate any time you want one let me no To be honest mate We live in a good area, but I've just spoke to my neighbour who is a fed and he reckons there have been numerous breakins and prowlers in the last few weeks, so I'm bricking it incase it happens again. The hounds are very vocal but it don't seem to make a difference

    Spent £50.00 at B&Q today on new padlocks and heavy duty hasps for the stinkers and the hounds. Spent £40.00 on security lighting 6 weeks ago after the washhouse was done. Whats next?

    They are both small, but no smaller than my other two jills and the hutch is well secure, so an escape bid is futile. I have 2 wash houses in the garden, one of which had the door kicked in and my petrol strimmer nicked about 2 months ago. Dont know if the two incidents are related.

    AS THE TITLE SAYS, TWO OF MY YOUNGSTERS WERE TAKEN LAST NIGHT. A WEE ALBINO JILL I GOT FROM GRANT C AND A VERY DARK POLEY JILL I BRED THIS YEAR. WHAT I CANT UNDERSTAND IS WHY THEY LEFT THE OTHER 3 AND WHY , IN THIS DAY AND AGE, ANYONE WOULD STEAL FERRETS AT ALL WHEN THEY ARE READILY AVAILABLE FOR FREE ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHAT I WILL SAY IS, IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT I FIND OUT WHO IT WAS I'LL MAKE SURE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO DO IT AGAIN. AND SHOULD THEY BE A MEMBER OF THIS SITE, TAKE HEED, THIS IS NOT A THREAT BUT A PROMISE!

    Just bought a 15ft mk1 locator. Its defoe a 15ft collar, BUT unsure about the box (writings worn off). put new batteries in both, but box makes a high pitched noise at about 7-9ft although it has a 15ft sticker on dial. Not tried them with another locator yet. cheers Sam
