tried 2 x 1ml doses of ivermectin 6 weeks apart with limited results i.e. stopped spreading and helped to dry up exsisting sores. bathed twice weekly with hibiscrub and teatree also. Is a prescription reqd for malesab and canestan?

i think sheepdip is for ticks not ringworm. i certainly wouldn't put my dog in it! Youre right Tomm, sheep dip is an insecticide. But it is also a fungicide which is required to kill ringworm, amongst other things, in sheep. I have "heard" of sheperds dowsing their collies in it and wondered if there is any truth in this

you can just get some worm medicine from pets-at-home. i can't remember the name of the one we used, it was in a plastic syringe and cost about 6 quid. the pup perked right up the next day and was fine after a week. Was it a spot-on treatment Tomm?
