  1. Joe Irving's book is great, but one thing i would say that dint work for me with my ESS is that i should of taught her HEAL as soon as i could. As she started to pull all the time and want to dash off to do her own thing. luckerly a friend pointed me in the right direction. If you want a Pro's advice, give Andy Cullen a ring at www.laochingundogs.com he's real top bloke and knows his stuff, he's helped me out no end of times when i need a push in the right direction. Other then that, dont EVER introduce it too cold/warm/any form of game till its brilliant on a dummy, as mine now will nev

  7. my opinion from my experiance is 3/4 and full, (yes i know 99% of others like less choke) but this is what suits me, ohhh and i also find it clean kills them much better and they'll fall straight into your patten without you havin to go set them up!!! and if your missing, well if i do that, i look at the wind, how strong is it? if its blowin gently.... a good bit of lead, if its a strong wind an looks to be holding the pigeons in mid air/moving very slow. then start by shootin at the tip of the beaks then moving it out slightly more each time. 12. the lads when on tour use, "sniper tape" ebay/google it comes in green or tan. when i used it, constantly for 6months, firing most days it needed replacing a few times but with the ammount you get on a roll that wont matter! and you can put cam paint on to it to yout liking! bonus is, it doesnt mark your barrel when you take it off either!

(i've only taught her to hup and recall, and left it at that as i thought it'd be too much to soon) and shes had it pretty much spot on till the last 3/4 days and now shes plainly takin the piss! so.... anyone got any good tips? many thanks

  17. hi guys/girls i have a fantastic little 14 week old springer pup and shes a pleasure to take out on her walks. she already comes back to the whistle and sits when asked of her and thats as much training i've done with her. i encourage her to hunt with "find it" and shes already putting her nose to the ground and scamppers off to find what she can. but heres my "problem" if there is one. shes more then happy to follow her nose if the grass aint too high or thick, how can i encourage her to get on in the long grass or is it a case of wait and she'll do it herself in her own time?! che

  23. go to the CPSA (google it) website and you'd need Safety officers. Dont think it'd be too bad to have one of you as an "instructor" qualified via the CPSA. other then that im sure you need a certain certificate off plod so that you can have non SGC's holders to perchase cartridges to be uses on the range. feel free to correct me if im wrong, hope this helps. but im sure thts what i heard along the grape vine!
