  1. Hi everyone, I am thinking of putting together a clay pigeon shooting arena for the general public and for the more experienced shooters up here in the highlands. I have pretty much nailed everything I need to relating to laws, certificates, insurance etc BUT, relating to the actual equipment, more specifically the shotguns, I haven't decided what suits best. I want to know peoples personal opinion on the matter. I budget approx £2500-3000 for initial gun set-up, which can be added to later depending on success, that is to cover the main bases. For example, do you cater to
  2. That sounds like some solid advice. Hopefully if you're up our way one day we should be sorted and up and running. Thanks for that
  3. Hi all, I have a farm on the scots highlands and my brother and I, who are both shotgun certificate holders, have always been keen shooters. However we are considering using a piece of land to open to the public on Saturdays by supplying traps/shotguns etc. As it will be ideally catering towards all the public (i.e. novices) what certificates do we need? We spoke to the local firearms dept they only advised permission from the chief constable. The insurance folk want safety certificates. My brother is a gamekeeper and goes stalking with the guests (so he has full knowledge of safety etc).

I am having limited success with them and I realise that this is partly because of the season (pretty mild it is though) but mostly because I don't have the knowledge. So guys, here's a few of a
  5. Alright, I live in the country, respect the countryside, love the sporting side, don't like the left wingers and pansies who threaten it. I'm a normal guy from the highlands and kudos to all like-minded folk out there. Hope to speak to some of you here too. Just posted my first post looking for more info on mole trapping if anyone can lend a hand. Cheers
