    They ran a tad more than 70 yards & the same dogs run up to 900 yard 16 & 32 dog lure coursing stakes on a regular basis.

    After a great show & lure coursing display at The UK Working Whippet Show The UK Working Whippet Club has been asked to supply 8 whippets for a lure coursing display for The Countryside Alliance at The Great Yorkshire Show all the dogs have now been entered & they will be running on Wednesday 9th July the slipper for this event is Arron Atmore so if your at the show & would like to see the whippets in action or call to talk whippets we will be at The Countryside Alliance stand all day.     I have just finished reading the draft version of the book with articles from Joanna Russell Tony Dent & Mike Brown to name but a few all i can say is its well worth waiting for its now being proof read & will be available in june.

    We have had big issues training our whippet - he was brilliant as a young pup but went completely off once he hit about 7 months. After lots of hard work he is now fantastic at recall, heeling etc. He has no issues being in the house alone but has just come back from three nights in kennels where he was completely miserable - he lost his voice through whining! I am hoping that adding another dog will help with this - or could I be asking for double trouble! Having crated him for the first six months he now sleeps quite happily in the kitchen - should I crate pup 2 or just leave him/ her to set

    Four months is to young to be doing much except basic training come to call lead training retrieving breaking to ferrets generally getting the pup so its happy to please you.
