    im looking to purchase a decent air pistol for close work on a back garden [squirrels] had an old crossman pump up years ago that was modified that had the power any ideas on whats the best pistol about today cheers.

    I would have thought the amount of rescue dogs is going down now they are losing their popularity not many running dogs in the areas where they started in the midlands at any rate. Im not one for grown dogs prefering the strong bond you get with rearing a pup but have had good grown dogs that have been passed on mostly when their owners couldnt see the potential though. I would consider a resue if i had lost a dog mid season better than waiting a year for another pup or paying a lot out for a dog good blood costs money these days better to keep your own line once youve got the bloodline you

    Ive known farmers put stuff in ditches and puddles never mind run off was out one day and a mates dog went and sat in and drank a load of battery acid not good . Running water or a bottle everytime

    I buy cheap garlic ready chopped and frozen from the supermarket half a teaspoon every day per dog used it for years seems to work for fleas. I still worm every three mths but the tablets never seem to make any difference to the dogs condition after so maybe garlic does keep worms at bay too either way its part and parcel of their diet at ours.

    sounds like greater horseshoes noctules fly the trent valley near me and they are more pidgeon size and like you say high in the air first time i saw one thought it was a fruit bat lol.

    Thats what we call them in sherwood gorse linnets, They also nest in the tops of the heather a lot as well as the gorse lovelly pic

    Im sure your wrong mate Prince was called jamie on paper and nothing to do with that line he was purchased in 78 years before the prince your on about he was a 27 inch cream dog.

    was that night ellington a good dog then he,s also in my saluki storms pedigree Knight ellington is a kennel name mate which one is in your dogs ped theres a few with that prefix ie knight ellington elsa etc there was a few from that line in princes lineage the sire to eve.

    Was Macs pure line the same line Eve came from her sire was macenzie bred but knight ellington on paper he could kill hares .
