  1. far out wish deer were as visible here as they are there!! they are nearly like a inbred cousin, you never hear of them and if you do its hushed and not spoken of im fortunate to have fallow on one of the properties i hunt, but have never seen them, only droppings .. mind you i hunt at night and the owner said they see them during the days, very early morning
  2. mate if i had 1/2 airedale/grey/blueys that didnt hold i'd be a bit concerned with those breeds it should be holding as for pig pictures, have a look at Ozziedoggers - pig hunting with pigdogs in Australia but wait till tomorrow, the sites not avaialble at the moment
  3. ive heard sugar too blokes here put up to 5% petrol int heir diesels that i have heard of in australia and drive no problems
  4. try fresh lemon juice on your hand, if the kit bites squeeze a bit of the juice in their mouth, they spit your finger out pretty quickly when you do this and they will stop biting i'd be feeding em up first but
  5. does he have white feet? looks like a chocolate colour to me, if he has white feet then his is a mitt too looks a lot like my hob when he was a kit, he went dark but... kept the face light, and is a mitt(white feet and bib) the most energetic ferret ive ever seen, and athletic
  6. emu's def have killed a few dogs over the years you forgot snakes and spiders, an array of ocean creatures too bloody hell why do we live here!!! oh thats right because of the nice open space and lots of game to chase :D
  7. The australian staghound and kangaroo dog are primarily based on a deerhound/greyhound mix but over time other breeds may of been added, eg wolfhound, saluki, borzoi and others they are big dogs, suited to our type of game here in Australia
  8. i use recharge, not too often but if huntin a lot and its hot i find it helps the dogs a lot to bounce back quick... which is important if im hunting and the temp is higher then 30degrees durin the day
  9. mate as you know the black dogs we have over here must carry some luki way back in their line, due ot the colouration and their at times manuerisms going by what I and HB have noticed and what I have read about the lukis Mate of mine has a few dogs which the mother wassaluki/deerhound too if i rmember right from a line down south of perth. Kalgoorlie they us saluki too(not talking about HB here either) i guess they add some good heat tolerance, something the UK ppl wouldnt think about so much

  21. Mum is 28.5" close to 29" if thats any easier. bitch pup is 26" I reckon 31/32" easy. (Does he have an attitude?) he fiery attitude wise, he didnt have half a good playfight today with the stag hey, had to tell them both to snap out of it as the daughter was nearby and it was making her cringe as she didnt know what they were doing.
