    I think a lot depends on the type of person that you are.If you are like me and get a pup 6/8 weeks old and plan on keeping it for life than in my opinion and its an opinion that I have formed through my personal expereances which are maybee limited because I keep all my dogs for life.The best cross I have ever had is the SALUKI/GREYHOUND.I have one at the moment .I also have a greyhound/collie and have had other collie/deerhound/greyhound crosses.I remember reading about the saluki,greyhound in several books and articals,stock chasers,disobedient,dont try.I took a chance and bought a saluki/

Google it.Where I live in the north east of Scotland we used to catch hundreds of rabbits every year.There was regular bouts of Myxomatosis most years but the following year the numbers were back as normal.There were rabbits every where in our area.Then in the late 1990s gone.You realy do struggle now ,to see a rabbit in our area.I know of "one" place where I can get a few runs at night and I am very careful who I take out with me or tell about this place.Rabbits realy are one of the rarest mammals you will see at night here.Where I work there is a bit of roug

    I think, as said earlier you would know if the dog was a yapper.I have only seen one lurcher that was ,it was a whippet x and yapped all the time while it chased a rabbit.I have a bitch myself ,a collie x and she very occasionaly gives a single yap on the first chase of the night.I put this down to excitment and definatly wouldent say she was a yapper.

    In my opinion and it's only an opinion these type of dogs have hunting in there blood and it is wrong to get a dog like this if you are not going to let it hunt.I think this is the cause of many problems people have when they get a breed of dog that they know nothing about.These dogs have huge prey drive which is why hunting people use them.To get a dog like this with no intention of letting it hunt is ,in my opinion looking for trouble.ATB, woodbine

    Hi,this is a dangerous way to lamp rabbits.They often run towards the lamp.The rabbit will be ok going under but your dog,blinded by the lamp will run into the vehicle.I was warned about this years ago.Lamping with a gun from a vehicle ,yes but better walking with your dog.

    I always believed,after reading books by Plummer and others ,that the first cross was best rather than lurcher x lurcher, because hybrid vigor in the first cross was lost in the lurcher x lurcher,also in the lurcher x lurcher one never new exactly what was in the mix,so if there was springer spaniel or terrier in there you could end up with a lurcher that was more spaniel or terrier than greyhound and not fast enough to be of use as a working lurcher.I have to say this SOUNDS reasonable enough to me but I personaly have found that it's just not true.The best lurchers that I have had (which is

    when will this sink in ,NO ONE CAN TELL WHO JUST WROTE THIS CAN THEY so if i say it was not me [who ever i am ] who will they have to question .no one Agatha Christie wrote about murders.I dont think she was ever questioned by the police for comitting any.I could be sitting here making up stories about ilegal hunting,can I be arested,prosocuted,charged for this?.I dont think so.
