Border collies crosses are great at first, watch them stalking down the lamp but after a few stalks and missed rabbits and flat battery you soon get sick of it. These imports are said to have more drive? And more of a natural hunter like the saluki and think for them selves.

If you want something a bit bigger i would stay away from anything with whippet in it,or it will bring size down. If you want something for lamping and ferreting i would go for something with collie in it like a half bred or for more speed a 1/4 bred collie 3/4 greyhound. The more speed you put in the less stamina you get, unless you put saluki blood in.

Seen it with a trotter one time just went down like sack of spuds , had to be cut out the harness. Call it tying up.

Had a greyhound get to hot and keel over.s Someone brought a deerhound x greyhound With us and tryed to run it the same as the saluki xs we was running. It ended coughing and pissing blood and jacking , even after a few weeks rest.

Ive had both Kizzy Pharaoh and stuff bred off imports . And the temperaments are shit on a lot of the English stuff and your lucky if they dont run like rocking horses.
