I've known of folk that have only had Salukis a matter of weeks that have just totally and utterly sussed them out and totally understand and are as one with their Saluki within that time, IMO in such a cases someone with 60 yrs could not tell that person how to get on better with Salukis in fact it could be quite the opposite in that the person could be so closed minded that they could do well to learn something from the person with only a few weeks experience. With that in mind I'll not be arguing over who is the superior knowledge in Salukis. Much of what we know of Salukis as a landrac

pleased to see you continue to make a fool of yourself .but hey i knew you would !!!!! always happy to reply to you, well most of the time LOL Come on then riohog how long have you kept salukis and im not talking about any other type of dogs or you going to do like you normally do and say im not going to reply to you any more

I wouldn't have thought they come from that sort of place more desert like as the breeder has them for racing and a fast dog is going to kill its self running fast on that sort of terrain whin.

mush , obviously affected with the green eyed monster syndrome ,you need to get some help, otherwise it will just eat away at you ,but it probebly allready has LOL going by how much you know about salukis i don't think ive got much to worry about any green eyed monster syndrome . Its great that your getting your imported saluki thats unrelated to all the rest of the salukis in this country but before you repeat what you've read and others have told you get some experience. And not one or two years of keeping salukis as it shows, if you have kept them any longer it don't show , but im sure i

people from one tribe aren't going to turn down the use of a top hunting saluki from anther tribe just because it may have longer hair or shorter, if it can do well at what a hunting saluki is meant to do their going to use it, its only show people who bred for looks and everyting bred has to look the same. carnt really be arsed with getting into a raging argument over this ,butit may be a matter of oppinion , what is termed as pure !remember not so long ago speaking to a very well known breeder in the u/s her attitude was ,,well if it walks like a duck it is ! not sure i agree

it may well have kurdish blood in it , if its come down from iransamin breeding some years ago , but it wont be 100 % iranian/kurdish i can assure you of that ,, and may well be turkish!! The Kurds are spread all over Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey

what you got to remember poach is its not just us lot that mix breeds , they have been crossing azawakh ,sloughi saluki, galgo for hundreds of years and greys , so whay im saying is like today your old dad could quite of easaly seen a cross breed Same old rubbish if it smooth it has to be a cross the owners of feathered and mostly show salukis have been saying the same thing for years.
-
seen it years ago, no one is saying a big dog cant pick a rabbit just they find it a lot harder and take half or less of the rabbits a medium size dog would take. Didn't think the deerhound cross was that good in the video If people do it would explain why people think their any good as they must have low standards for a lamp dog.
-
best lamp dogs I've had was a first cross saluki greyhound bitch. First night out she didn't catch anything, second night she had 11 or 12 and i stopped her before i got to carried away and pushed her to far. 2nd one was a saluki type match dog put to a collie greyhound, if he could see it he would run it, even if he couldn't he would run out.
-
For you chartpolski NO it means you have what ever every one else has, or if you like haven't got a mind of your own. and getting back to the subject Some one getting a deerhound first cross for the big stuff i can under stand but for rabbits you would have to be mad, a 1/4 Deerhound would suit some-one who works all week and wants something that going to be fast and catch well. but its not going to have the stamina that you need to work it all night or night after night JMHO

your right whin about the jumping, I think one still holds the record for the high jump.

Probably because he has been there and done it ???????? Cheers. LOL and you tuck the piss out of some young lad who couldn't spell one time , And you put up a reply that don't even make sense And you atack people like the man who bred and worked the best Deerhounds and Deerhound X's that have been bred for generations !! You attacked me over Salukis !! LOL!! How stupid could you be ? People in the know, think I'm the biggest Saluki supporter on this site !! Grow up, mate ! Where did i attack him ? I like bill I don't agree with everything he writes about deerhound crosses,
-
No I've ran them my self half-breds no good for the places most people run and what most are trying to catch, 1/4 deerhound are a hell of a lot better but i think the best are D G crossed with another type of lurcher. Cop out ! Now when did you have that saluki your always talking about? you no salukis that you said are no good to run in England but now your thinking of getting one,you blow with the wind.
-
:11: @ bill why you talking about your dogs as if some one else owns them Probably because he has been there and done it ???????? Cheers. LOL and you tuck the piss out of some young lad who couldn't spell one time , And you put up a reply that don't even make sense
