    the wheather was shit yesterday it was about 6 foot i think just one step in it.the red dogs nose is not to bad i havent been doing much with him as i used to be doing a bit with my other dogs.seasons not going to bad will be over before we know it.

    when we are out on our own digging i sometimes in small covers let a terrier with a loctor off to hunt the cover but i never let two or more earthdogs off together dont want them to all go to ground.on most sundays i go out with a local mans pack of about 10 beaglexrussels x springers and i keep my terriers on the lead untill one gose to ground.and one or two of the luchers do hunt the cover with the beating dogs.

    Fair enough! That explains why my neighbours fox terrier was well able to yap away at my russel at his distance but when he got a nip he didnt know how to take it. Still you cant complain with 150, but the dog wouldnt want to get cornered id say. just because a terrier is going around fightn with other dogs dosent mean f**k all to me. nearly all the terriers that i have seen trying to stick to every dog it seen truned out to be f**k all good for anything.i have seen terriers that would back off of a fight and when brought to an earth would do their job. i hate a terrier that will fight

    only lads that breed their terriers for work and keep them amoung them selfs the good ones are kept the bad ones go no further.the only time you would get a terrer of well worked stuff is if you know the kads well and they know you will sort them out again when you have a litter .if your geting a terrier off someone you dont know for noting chances are they wont be much good.

    their are a few fools around here with riffles but most of them only go around scaring them lucky enough riffle men can do some damage when out.

    was out after dinner for a look tryed an earth myself and my mate found when beating cover.it is a risky one because its on the side of a sand hill entred the dog at 3 didnt get him out till 7.i had to leave him for ages before i started diging he was diging on after the fox got a good mark and started to dig it was hard going then we had to get a lamp to see what we were at dug a vixen which was in a very tieit spot.dug it with my russel dog who is going well so far.
