    Well you read wrong! Never heard of them being far from water, and its animals like our water voles that are suffering a massive decline because of the mink.. Like Ideation said above, they get hunted, trapped, shot, etc.. Some people think the return of the otter is keeping them in check too.. I shot one a few years ago on my dads small holding, it was sat on a log in the fishing pond eating one of his tench , that's about a mile from the nearest water not a great distance but it had to cross some open land to get to where it was

    I have a good relationship with mine but it hasn't always been good , me and my dad are very much alike and from a young age I followed him everywhere . my dad taught me all about fieldsports took me nesting ,shooting,ferreting and the like and would listen to question after question from me . when I got to a teenager I became a arsehole a no it all with a gob and we had fight after fight . I got into shit time and time again with the law and got my girlfriend pregnant at 17, after my lad was born I did some serious growing up and me and my dad became close again I realised everthing he had

    I personally xray'd a dog that had eaten cooked turkey carcass. You really can't imagine the mess it made - the dog died, painfully. Strange vet. well I wont be feeding mine a cooked carcass again that's fir sure

    ive fed my dog an oven cooked chicken carcass twice a week for maybe the last 3 years hes been fine I thought it was safe .

    yeah it was a good forum at one point mate , I would recommend the boys on here for advice over the iff any day of the week . There is a lot of self proclaimed experts on that site but there is also some good lads and info if you get through the shit . I very rarely go on there anymore it isn't what it was new falconers get shot down from the start % of the time , most of them disappear go into there shells then probably add a bird to the merry go round .
