    Cheers lads. My friends done well with his whippet collie, she doesnt hunt up until told to do so, So he can still exercise his with his other dogs and she doesnt run off and hunt up. Shes still used for lamping and ferreting.

    Right ive got a working whippet which i use for lamping and ferreting shes around 15 months now. When im out exercising her when not ferreting i have to walk through fields with woods. The problem im having is she has started hunting up as soon as she sees a squirrel shes off, and started to hunt up. The hard one is obviously she is trained to catch rabbits so she will not no the difference between them, and shes just sodding off for five minutes then comes back. But its really p****ng me off. Obviously ive been playing te hide and seek thing!!! Anyone with any ideas???

    Thanks for reply mate, they are a nightmare when they get back from ferreting!!! Started the road work now!!!

    Im in stoke mate!! Got alot of land but its been hit bad by mixi, Where abouts are you? Found some net pegs on the ground where the sets are, looks like someones been sneaking on!!

    Thanks for replys lads. It doesnt bother my other dogs its just my whippets. Just cant stand the scratching there feet on the rug goes through me

    Got a marking dog mate, She marked the five bolters i had the other day!! She didnt mark any of sets i did today. I tried my luck as i was running out of sets!! I dont use nets anymore mate i run them to my dogs,

    U would think middle of what is supposed to be winter they would of all died off, Its like mixi still being around at this time of year!!!! Thanks for reply.

    Got some new permission last week so went along a few days ago and bolted 5. Went back today and did 8 sets with nothing all at home. Fresh droppings everywhere but all warrens deserted. Theres getting less and less rabbits around this way.

    Does anyone else have any problems with there whippets feet driving them mad when they have been out in the fields? Its as if they are itching them off?? When i get them back home i have to bathe there feet and give them antihistamine!!! Any advice please?????

    Took my whippet out with the ferret do do a bit, was out for around 3 hours, got back and my mrs had cleaned all through. Out of the blue she gets on the sofa and pisses. Thought it was a one off then an hour later she pisses on the kitchen floor right in front of me. Any ideas why? Ive had her from a pup and shes around year and half old.
