  1. Hi mate I'm after a whippets bitch! Can u contact me so I can come and look! Cheers

  2. Cause its legal to control foxes just in the correct ways to what the law says!! Theres not a complete hunting ban on foxes!! So that isnt the reason at all. U tellin me u could ride through places like london on a fox hunt ha
  3. Not starting an arguement about them being controlled mate. Im saying that any aniamal with only reproduce to the available food source or the offspring would not survive anyway!! Thats why the fox numbers are so high in built up areas!! No of course the children did not deserve to get bit. But every fox in the fields doesnt stick around for me to shoot them mate.
  4. End of the day the foxes will only breed to the amount of food left about and the amount of food fed by idiots in there garden!! then wonder why the place is over run! these people deserve to get bit!! only people to blame humans!!!
  5. Im just wondering folks how small you can get adult ferrets? my mate has a really small adult jill
  6. Thanks for that mate ill give it a go! I've got one kit at the mo which has a shitty arse! The rest are fine! They are on dry food and fresh chicks and rabbit! Any ideas folks?
  7. Hi folks just wondering the best way to flee my young ferrets as my dogs have picked flees up while out catching rabbits which I have fed to my ferrets! The dogs were already fleed two weeks ago but still picked them up! cheers folks!
  8. True mate true think i might be using next doors shed bit by bit
  9. Nice job that mate! thanks for the ideas just trying to find myself some free wood now
  10. Ey up lads just after some plans to build a single tear hutch if anyone has any? Im pretty new to ferrets apart from using them as a kid. Oh and whats the best wood to use, thanks alot lads!!
  11. Now that is hunting should be! total respect. Thanks for putting that clip up and showing this American imbecile how it should be done. After all of shotgunners comments his last post just proves how retarded he actually is. Oh and if he dicides to comment again and runs out of words out of the english language and has to result in swearing then i suggest you buy the english dictionary and take a look through.
  12. I hunt for trophy deer, elk , lion , bear ect... Taking pictures along the way ... Mounting the horns and tanning the hides And not a shred of meat goe's to waste.... Just as all the "trophy" hunters I know.... Your point is that what you do is so much more superior and ethical than the way other people hunt... You "feel" a need to justify your methods by claiming nutrition and a sense self reliance - and now you "feel" entitled by this to point your booger tipped dirty finger at another hunter in a blamefull manner... This dosn't wash mate.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OLPL5p0fM
  13. Just my opinion but I think game should only be killed for either food or pest control to preserve other species. I kill to put food on my plate for me it makes me appreciate my food and appreciate where it comes from more than just buying something off the shelf. That sort of thing is just for some idiot to get a picture with. Not for me just killed for the fun.
  14. Would be nice if anyone in and around the staffordshire area could show me how it should be done with there dog which will give me something to work towards with mine. If anyone can show me that will be great. Cheers once again.
  15. Thanks for all the replys taking them all on board good to get positive replys and advice
  16. Yes she comes back everytime i call her inside the home or garden or in a confined field where there is no distraction. It'll take over a month to form any sort of bond with her, if you let her off before she thinks its in her best interest to come to you , she's gone, she needs working with but not somewhere infested with bunnys at the minute and not in the garden, you need to create some sort of motivation for her to come back when called, i'd use a long line with her for the minute, and make it worth her while coming back, i wouldn't advise force , where the bond is not formed bet
  17. Shes fine on walks apart from if she sees rabbits or squirrels or something small and fury then she does the obvious and wants to catch it. Cant see me knocking that out of her thats what they were bred for.
  18. Yes she comes back everytime i call her inside the home or garden or in a confined field where there is no distraction.
  19. To be quite honest mate ive asked plenty of people and im struggling. Some people say she is collie x whippet and others saluki x. Hope that helps a little. She doesnt have any bull in her. Like i said im knew to lurchers but hope this helps a little.
  20. Bit more advice needed please. Let my rescue lurcher off for the first time up the quarry where there is plenty of rabbits about. She is normally good on recall but once she got scent of a rabbit she just took off. Is this just something i have no control of in the breed or is there away to stop it??. If there is anyone in the midlands area who can show me how to go on with her for ferreting or lamping that will be a great help as im new to lurchers. Used to my gundogs. Thanks people????
  21. Right folks in need of some advice off you people who know. Just let my rescue lurcher off for the first time in open ground and she just got hold of a scent and went off hunting on her own. Is this just something to do with breed. Her recall in a confined space is 100%. Is this just from bad training by the previous owner. If anyone in the midlands can show me the ropes on how to go on and show me how there lurcher works while using with a ferret that will be a great help.
  22. Thanks mate ill try my best with her and give her a good life.
  23. Thanks for that reply mate, didnt think i would be able to stop her like i can my lab. The first time i let her off the lead she flushed 2 rabbits out which i didnt even see, but just missed out. She hadnt been run for 6 months as she had been in the kennels. So her fitness wasnt quite there. Changed her diet and now giving her daily exercise shes comin on. Worked in kennels so advice on passing dogs on i dont agree with. If people are having a pup they should learn how to train it properly not ruin it. Cheers for the helpfull advice lads.
  24. Thanks for the reply lads and the advice. Wont get rid of it mate i had it to give it a home as like i said it was a rescue otherwise was goin be put down. Wont be like the last idiot who ruined a dog then passes the problem off. People like that are the reason that the kennels are full of ruined dogs. Shes already good on recall apart from the obvious of once shes chasing u struggle to stop.
