I can go back nearly 30 years with my dogs breeding and although you cant see it his sires breeding started off from a 1st x lab greyhound weather the owner was lucky i don't know but the dog was a cracker and took all quarry and lots of it,even now the lad says if he was after another lurcher a lab greyhound would be his first choice.

My pups 15 weeks old this morning she had a lambs heart with a rack of lamb which kept her buzzy til 4 this afternoon were she then got threw a meaty chicken carcass with some mince beef and shes now getting threw a good sized herring with half a pint of goats milk which will keep her going till the morning. Like the other lads said if there not gaining to much weight get what you can in them whilst they are pups and make the most of your pups good appetite,theres nothing worse than picky eaters.

I would be looking at the start of next season especially with that breeding as deerhound crosses take longer than most to mature.

Didnt the pup accidentally retrieve his ferret aswell or something? You cant say that about all salukis if you had one from a pup and brought the pup on correctly you would have know bother. Its how you treat and understand the breed.
