    Well back in the day.... or night as it was If we were out for em.... then no hare the lamp landed on got bypassed..... even if it was in the farmers front garden .... i bet FUJI knows that one well enough

    After finiahing work this evening i was racing against daylight to exercise the dogs... I got to the land at 9ish and the sun was fast dropping.. just a distant red gpow in the sky. A short walk up the lonning and i got in first field. I could see a shadowy figure running across the brow of the hill.... so could the dogs.. not on thr menu im afraid just a young un.. Anyway i soon spotted another target. It was jet for a run first. Upto his quarry and they jumped through a gap in the hedge.. i stood at the hedge waiting for any tell tale signs... As i stood..i looked back,

    When something goes wrong.. its normally the coursing man in the newspapers.... not the lampers.... so is the coursing man doing more bad than good for the lurcher community??? Whos coursing dog can keep up on the lamp? Whos lamp dog can keep up in daylight? Different dogs different jobs. Different men different sport

    Well... for me.. i dont have a son, but have a stepson. But if he came home tellng me that then he would be turfed out.. couldnt accept it and couldnt live with it... just my thoughts....

    Its getting a tough old game. My last 2 nights of the season resulted in blue lights in places i aint seen a blue light in 10years. Thank fook for 4x4 and a few handy accesories

    Im self employed. Can often be doing 45+ hours a week. Have a family. Youngest is 6month old. My misses understands my lamping lifestyle, and if i have a long night, and no work on, she will not wake me up doesny matter how much she needs to go shopping Now. My lamping partner, is unemployed and has no sense of time when lamping, we often out till 4 and ill be up at 7. I can keep up with him . Not sure on best dog? But maybe we equal dogmen?

    Would this small fella be any good, preban? I would of said he would fair up well, but for the taking of bigger deer, single handed, he would lack in size, but certainly not heart
