  3. Whats the most rabbits you have had out of one set? I had 9 out of a hedgerow set that stretched about 40-50 yards with three ferrets. And the most you have had on day's ferreting? I have had 42 between 2 ferrets and 3 of us out there purse nets only. On my own the most i have had is 18 to the longnets.

  8. Too true, i wouldnt have a ferret that i couldnt trust with my finger end- even my big hob's i can confidently put my hand down a rabbit burrow with confidence. When the hobs are in season one of them tends to grab my finger, doesnt bit, just holds. Must want to ride my hand :11:

Never realised when your head to head with someone bidding on something that both of you really want is so bloody hard. I was bidding on window grilles for the van so the thieving scum cant get in the back, 6 minutes left i was outbid. I finally got back on top of the bid, after pressing refresh every 10 seconds to check time remaining, i got to about 15 seconds left and was outbid. I bid an extra fiver, still outid, then added another couple of quid, and beat again. I lost the auction, but got a "second chance offer" to buy them for £30 (bargain when you see they cost £65 brand ne

  18. This years Lowther is on Friday 4th August running till Sunday 6th August. Its a good day out and for those of you travelling far you can camp near by (i would just kip in my van rather than a tent) Anyone going, lets arrange a time to meet up at somewhere ie; johnsons field sports, simon W ferret display or where-ever I will be there on the saturday
  19. I have a polecat hob who will not back down from a rabbit, who i have only dug to a handful of times. He will eventually bolt it. Sandy hob who will do the same job once he gets onto a bunny but will kill more than the polecat. and my prize polecat jill who will clear a set on her own, given the time. She will bolt, but is the ferret i have dug to the most (mainly because if im going ferreting - she's coming with me) I also have another poley jill and albino jill, who will both bolt rabbits but are a nightmare to get out the set. So they aren't used and they are my mother's "pet's
