  1. well said Andy, and im glad that i have the same opinion as an expert like you i must be doing something right
  2. Chartpolski, im not slagging any body off by any means, just asking other lads n lasses what conditions then run in. I will go out through the week as well as weekend's, to me, my sport comes before working. I've seen me out from 9Pm till 3AM lamping and then get up at 7 for work. Tiredness at work is a small price to pay for an excellent nights sport :good
  3. After reading a few post's recently, it makes me wonder how many of you actually care about the ground you run the dogs on, I know of lads who go out on calm, clear nights, whereas i will only go out on nice dark windy nights. I love going out in light rain/drizzle the bunnies seem to sit for longer. And the ground MUST be soft enough to run on
  4. In my opinion, running a dog on this EXTREMELY HARD ground is asking for problems in the dogs feet and legs. Blando, even though the rain made the atmosphere FEEL cooler, it most probably wasnt as cool as you thought. Our bodies are getting used to this heat, so 15degrees feels cool when out walking in the rain, in comparison to the 30degrees during the day

molly, im not a female, so i didnt know that
  6. Doesnt matter , most keepers have night vision now anyway. (regarding the old poachers tale about black dogs) A dog is a dog regardless of its colour, its in the breeding and what you put into it
  7. Not having a stab at you mate, but try getting a pup thats about 10 weeks old. Earlier you get them, the better. Dont rush into getting an 8 month old pup so you can run it this season, patience is a virtue
  8. is the ground not too hard down there to be running dogs on?
  9. all you can do is ask. im 19 and have too much bloody permission. I was getting permission at 16 years old. Just show up be nice, friendly, courteous, even if rejected. Dont turn up in full hunting gear

Good women are rare to come by. Its healthy to have some time with her, and some time to do what the feck you want with. She must understand that on a windy winter's night she will be second best to the field's. WHEN NATURE CALLS!!!! In the winter my lass just needs to look at the weather outside to realise if im leaving early, or late. If you give them enough attention other nights, they don't mind. What women need to understand (no sexism implied) is that us men love our own free time and free space to do whatever we choose, mine is mostly making net's & snare's.

  14. Just read Ditch SHitters Post about his Avatar. Just got me wondering what is the meaning behind your user name? Personally at the time i started on internet forums many moons ago I couldnt think of anything else better
  15. nice observation Mr. Shitter
  16. sorry to hear about that . always devastating. Its sometimes worse than losing one of your mate's. Remember the good times, looking at the pics you had plenty of them. The dog has obviously done you VERY well. Be proud of the dog and let time take its course
  17. As you coem to mention is Erin Go. No both parents are polecats - so im assuming that there is a recessive gene in both parents. Which have met in the mating

my lass is spot on I was into lamping ferreting etc... before i met her (two years ago) So since i was into it before i met her, she has to put up with it, and is she tried to stop me it'd be "c'ya" She will never try stopping me though. She has seen all sorts being killed, shes been lamping, ferreting,, trapping, snaring, She's even been bit by a ferret. Only one thing i can complain at her about is she cant climb fences very well especially wobbly ones. my mother doesnt mind what i do, as her dad used to go lamping so she gre up round lurchers, my dad used to be into fer
