  1. had a f**king great day today steve mi old china that f**king bunny got it in the end though bryon (vasaline kid ) made it to the clinic, i think he's got mixy :11: :11: :11: Forgot to ask you stevo what do I owe you for that stuff you brought me today?
  2. Byron did work well today, bless him, I think he wants to get promoted to understudy from apprentice.
  3. LOL,loads of digging . Would be a sare yin sticking your arm in there and finding a rat instead of a rabbit.Ill be happy getting 1-2 rabbits when i start, fook knows what id do with all them. often pull a rat out especially when near maize crop, they can only bite once!
  4. The guys popped down for a couple of hours today, we didnt have too long because Byron had his "clinic appointment" He needs to stay away from those naughty girls with loose tops and no knickers. Anyhow, we started off on a small banking that looked well but Tilly hardly marked any, pointless doing them then, so we did an up and off to another farm and it was much better. The first set we did produced a good 12 rabbits, only a couple of bolters though the rest had to be dug, they start to get a bit twitchy at this time of year. Sorry about the language, Stevo has Turretts Syndrome. http:/
  5. I wouldn't call Sheffield a village, Lincoln either, he lives a stones throw away from where I used to live in Sheffield, no big deal with Mick I am sure.<br>
  6. Hi guys think I am sorted for the time being, if I need anyone else I will stick a post up. Cheers
  7. I live 6 miles south of Lincoln mate, the land is not far from here about 10 mins drive. I will probably be looking at next sunday for shooting or even midweek if anyone can manage that.
  8. Hi guys, I am looking for about 4 guys to give me a bash on some of my permission, cant promise the best shooting ever but hard to say. I dont want anything for the shooting but if anyone interested I wouldn't turn my nose up at a box of shells for the day, hope thats not too cheeky. I would be looking for guys with vehicles and equipment and respect for the land they will be shooting on, sensible people only no rambo's. The land is almost all rape and very large fields with bordering forestry woods, the rape is being stripped by flocks of up to 3000 birds but mainly of 100-300. I have trie
  9. Tilly's pups doing really well, anyone interested contact manaboutdog on here.
  10. Yes they are ok there mate, just this f#ckin hedgerow thats been a pain, but it has to be done.
  11. Sound mate tilly should be back next week, that will save us some time.
  12. :It was one we decided to leave for a breeder, just took the pic then let it go. Afterall efficient as we may be but taking everything is foolish.
  13. The lads came down today to finish the session on the new permission that we left off last time. We arrived expecting some digs afterall thats how it ended the last time so why should it be different. Well we were not dissappointed it started just how we left it, dig after dig, for some reason they just will not bolt on this hedgerow unlike the dyke where they flew out like bullets. We did expect it so it was not a shock and brought the gear to deal with it, pity we didn't bring a mini excavator that may have been more appropriate. We had the odd one that bolted but few and far between, they
  14. Fair play mate thats some digging for 1 rabbit Out today with BUD off here, together with 4 Gills and the lurcher, had 16 good healthy rabbits, a good day and we didnt have any digs at all Lucky you, its this hedgerow for some reason they dont bolt, 1 rabbit yes, but dug to avoid a long wait and wasted time. We dont like to leave meat behind.
  15. Still getting the odd one that has mixy scars from the last outbreak, survivors I guess, lucky once never again! Here is Stevo on that 6 foot dig, getting the glory at the end,
  16. Not be too long before we all stop might get a few weeks if we're lucky been today and it was graft, lots of 4 and 5 foot digs to just singles. I suppose it keeps us fit and in a good light with the farmers and keepers though. We managed 42 today even with all the digs, so in 2 days on this hedgerow/dyke we have took over 100, not a bad average but it is stuffed around here.
  17. The guess at the final number is highly contended, its all a good laugh but nice when you get it right.
  18. Its great to have a good crew who are not worried about getting stuck in, thats why we do so well, we always take the piss out of each other but thats just expected with us. Stevo will be losing some sleep tonight we lost "fred" on of his nets they are like family to him, their lass will be washing and drying them tonight they are filthy with the rain and black soil.
