  3. A good wipe over with an oily rag and gun oil should do the trick. As for preserving........!! You could try pickling it in vinegar!
  4. Each to their own and I'm not going to knock anything that works for the next man. Can't argue with results I don't use mildots on my sub 12's. Missed plenty but that's all part of the ongoing learning curve and shite shooting. There's always an off day. Week or month for some...... Getting to know your setup and judging distance is always a must. (however inaccurate it is at times!! My idea of 30yds is feck all like 30yds! When using the rangefinder).
  5. So what we saying then? .22 shooters without mildots miss more than they hit at range? Or 50/50? Winging it. So to speak? Can't argue with the "proven" methods and practices using mildots. But I'm happy not using them. Never felt the need.
  6. No wise crack remarks. Poor jokes or general piss taking? You ok this morning mate?
  7. cheers big fella but it needs the job doing right. I can't handle reading any more of your "the bunny got away" posts.
  8. looking forward to hitting it with the lamp mate.
  9. Nice result Mr Wilkes No problem Vin. Look forward to it.
  10. Bushnell legend ultra HD 3-9x50 Rez As nice as the rapid shoots and the work gone into it. It's a tick lump!! But I wouldn't swap it.
  11. Cheers Giro.David. Oh!! And a big thanks for that silencer. It looks and works well on my mates MFR. He's made up. Cheers
  12. I would have been running for the freezer but I've just got 60lb of the best farm bred and butcherd sausages today. I'm stuffed and more for breakfast. Them rabbit portions look grand though
  13. Id like to say that's where they ended up. Frozen now so there's still a chance
  14. The lads who never came back not you mate looks like I worded that wrong lol I knew what you meant pal Their loss. I just find it crackers. Their not going to waste Ross.
  15. I recently took a rabbit control job on, nice house, nice large garden. All secured with a well installed rabbit fence and set in the middle of some nice farmland. The fence has the odd hole here and there from stock damage which the rabbits have used to their advantage. Although there was the odd few bunnys digging up the pristine lawns. The real issue is the surrounding land. Seriously untouched with good rabbit numbers. All green and unspooked. Now with a bit of liaising between the house owner and farmer, I managed to get the farmers number and gave him a call. We had already agr
  16. Shark trips? Near here? FFS That means i can never go to the seaside for a swim. And if that happens...it means your sheep won't get a rest..... Poor buggers
  17. I can see tears!! Get your hand in your pocket and leave the cheap shite in china. Whatever you buy. Just make sure you section your logs right for your gate posts. Seasoned or not. If you don't quarter or half your post out of the length it could split and twist
  18. Did you get them numbers the wrong way round mate  Pot kettle and black....stumpy!
  19. No. He sold the rapid to indulge in the new fan dangled craze of crickets and bullpups. I'm guessing he's selling this to fund a proper scope? Or perhaps some new toys for his S&M exploits on a weekend?
