  1. Went out tonight for a spot of ratting to give the dogs a run out and show the young pup what its all about, had a really good evinings sport, fletchers 7 month old pat pup is coming on leaps and bounds hes really clicking about what the whole game is about, hes starting to mark really well now and getting stuck in amongst them, hes loosing his puppyness and having a real go, hunting up on his own and doing the deads on his own! After all hes had a good teacher, my Tara Took the 4 1/2 month old pup out to show him what the craic is and to say i was delighted with him is an understatement,
  2. makes no odds imho, dad had a litter of springers a few months back and the so called runt also was the fireieist, as soon as she was born she was kicking and scraming much more than the others, and what she lacked in size she made up in courage, she bossed all but the biggest pups around, my cousin got her and she is now the smae size, just make sure she gets on the teet more than the others to help her catch up. also my dads first terrier was the runt of the litter, he bought him for half the price of the other litter mates a couple of shillings i think? as he was only a boy at the time

  4. a whippet would be like a small sports car, less weight but a smaller engine, nippy to take off but topping out sooner, whereas a greyhound would be more a perfomance machine, whilst maybe not having the jaw dropping initial take off of a smaller lighter model, once running it would far outstrip it smaller rival on the overall distance due to greater top speed. only my opinion?
  5. Agreed chef, its good this has all been taken in the correct manner and not gone down the line of a slagging match i did spell your name correctly then went back and edited it as a further subtle wee dig. id say your more of a Anthony Worral Thompson
  6. both vaild points chef and jane russell, i guess its horses for courses though as if we all were of the same opinion, then it would be pretty boring as we would have nothing to argue over, and wed all agree that hard dogs arent stupid feckers! last comment tongue in cheeck as im sure dillions was

  9. my pup has meynell in his lines a few generations back.
  10. As in a dog I mean the sire, I don't believe it is worth putting anything less mediocre into a bitch than a consistent fox killing stud dog, or at the very least one that is very capable of doing so and has done enough to be merited. i assume you are talking about patts etc, what about dogs that are traditionally bayers? russells for example?
  11. dillon why wouldnt you use a dog that couldnt consistently kill foxes?
  12. or out of it in this case!!! i see hes now gone lol

Short line...just one person in front of me, an Asian guy who was trying to exchange yen for dollars, and he was a little agitated. He asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday I get two hunat dollar of yen - today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?" The teller says, "Fluctuations." The Asian guy says, "Fluc you white people too". :11:

  18. Some sites like these have buying groups like a fishing site i use etc, would it be possible for this site to do something similar, where users all wanting to purchase the same thing approach a company and instead of ordering 1 item asking for a price on say 10 and reaping the benifit of a better price? wouldnt work for most things but id imagine certain times of the year at the begining of certain seasons when new kit is needed it is bound to work?? any views good or bad, your thoughts? for example im planning a B+F locator + collar, im sure others at this time of the year are also, cou
