Fiac jumping having a run we then entered some gorse patches and a good chance of a rabbit here, and young archie gets his first rabbit @8 months picked up in a thick patch it wasnt going anywhere! the others were soon on the scene fiac having a sniff first rabbit she h
  2. hes looking good, ill get a few of my one up tomorrow, put some up on ........... but dont think you seen it?
  3. i think so as long as you get the same depth of collar ie a 17foot one as opposed to a 40 foot one, as they are not calibrated to work the larger distance, they will work but not as accurate as 17ft box and 17 ft collar.
  4. bullshit, pair of druggies according to a yank site, and it was a 5-6 week old puppy, why did they have such a young puppy?? see link on story- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16178319/

  18. millet after reading your posts the other day about baiting up places i intend to try that, i had honestly never thought about trying that method but it seems a good way to go, ill be trying it over the next few weeks big bald and beaytifull he had killed it by the time the other dog was released, with hindsight i should have left him to it, but i panicked a bit seeing him get bitten you still think of them as wee ones and should have let him have his time with it, but i slipped him on the second rat alone just to guage how it effected him, and he didnt mess about this time and promply c
  19. went out tonight to a local farm after speaking to the farmer lastnight and him telling me he had a few rats in the grain store, not many but ideal for starting archie the 6 month old russell pup on, the grain is stored 7-8 foot deep and the rats only escape is past us, the walls cant be climbed so its ideal. we entered the building and hit the lights bit dissapointing as there was only 2 rats on the grain so i held back the older dog and let archie go for them, he was straight on it and caught it with style, the rat got a good hold on his cheek and was biting him hard but he never let out
  20. i had one also the same problem, and i had it form new, noisy as a bloody tractor until warmed up, and as dawn says there tail likes to whip out in the wet, no probs as long as you know it will happen, but quite scary if not, i put grippier tyres on mine and this made it better.
