  1. ok went out for a shine lastnight with my mates hawk and have a few questions as we havent done this before, not really a hawking question so should get the answers i need here, when you see a rabbit in the distance say 2-300 yards away do you a. keep light on it and walk nearer? b. turn light off and walk to say 100 yards and turn on again and hope its still there? c. none of the above, if so let me know please We seen plenty but it was like herding sheep they just kept moving further away or going to ground only to come back again later once we had moved on.
  2. i bought a pair of Karimoor leather boots from TK MAX £40 wore them out last night very comfy and warm and dry!

Cheers millet i thought that would be the case, my bitch got bitten once on her second outing and never again, as you say she shakes them until there back is broken, it hasnt made her any lees keener for the job though, she is always first in on them and misses next to nothing, sometimes i close my eyes when she throws herself into some large object at the last minute just to make a catch, you just know it had to hurt shes never dropped one once caught, but she didnt like it when she did get bit she chewed on the bugger for 10 minutes but she has an amazing knack of cacthing them, once shes

  5. thats some bites from the rats millet, my dog has only been bitten once and shes had well over 100 rats, we dont get the numbers of rats that by the look of things you guys do, do they get bitten more when there is large volumes? as when we go out were lucky if we see 15-20 rats but we do nail most of them?

  7. she is old enough imo, maybe you could get some antiseptic wipes to bring along, incase she does get any bites to clean them asap, and perhaps let her watch a few getting nabbed before letting her have a look herself, good luck and enjoy the day!

  10. too late just bought one off ebay for £50, put a bid in thinking it would go higher anyway, but i ended up getting, oh well. should add it comes in box but no collar hence my origional question whether or not you can up the range with just the collar?? eg if i buy the 40ft collar will the box find it??
  11. is the range on the new high out put pack, icreased on the box or the collar as the box price is the same as the old one and the collar is a lot more? so is the collar the updated bit or is it the box as one locates to 16ft and the other 40ft?? thanks TJ

  13. Nuvs post about one of his small borders working below ground got me thinking, the popular type of russell for earth work nowadays is the longer legged variety, but does anyone own presently or in the past or seen the small (under 11inch) type russell doing earth work?

  20. sounds good poacher, id be happy if my one makes 13-13 1/2 ats, but as long as he works i dont care.
  21. cheers poacher i havent measured him yet but id guess just under 13, he is starting to bulk up a little now and is getting a good shape to him, im very pleased with him, hes got a good attitude and wants to be in everything. ps your pups are coming on well, whats there heights at the moment and what height do you expect them to make?
