Thats not true atall you are going by gossip, you can keep two hobs together fine be brother or stranger, trust me i had 4 hobs at one stage all not related! Not threw the breeding season you didn't

What you should have done Madam/sir is find out how to look after the animal before you bought it. Then read a little more about it BEFORE you Tried to bring some more unfortunate Ferrets into Your sons care.Yes i am saying that you and your 35 year old son are not fit to keep animals.

I was'ent saying "put them into a rescue" but to ask if a rescue centre could help you out, in raising the kitts if your unsure, they are normally run by quite dedicated people The truth of the mater is, in my opinion you should not be aloud to keep a stick insect never mind an animal with babies.Take those babies to a rescue to save them any more suffering,your only going to kill those with your bread & milk. Read a book before you get any more ferrets. :thumbdown:

Lads it doesn't mater what your rifle looks like, if some busybody wants to call the bill they will. Example. Out ferreting one Sunday morning,full permission along a public footpath 3 of us, people walked past now and then very polite (good morning lovely day all the sh*te) 1 1/2 hrs of being there we where surrounded by an armed response unit. Someone had called the bill saying we had shotguns.After standing with our hands in the air while they looked for said guns rabbits running every which way,was not a pleasant exspearance. Totally agree, there were some good points coming in on both sides, but a clean up of the thread to remove the name calling was all that was needed. Always culled the hobs as soon as they where big enough to sex (about 3 days) and always will no matter what the Kiddies say.6 tits will rear 6 strong kits.Stoats & weasels don't have 12+ young. Good hunting all P1.

jazz, it's obvious from your replies, that you have made your mind up, what do you want someone to say?, the actual amount of discharge is 100ml you still would'ent know you have two options, leave her in the hutch, carry on feeding her/mating with your hob, if she die's you can either take the blame, or blame others on here for giving you bad advise, after all, none of us are vets or take her to the vets, at the end of the day, it all depends on how much YOU value your ferts :clapper:

Just my opinion, I think you have made a mistake by taking the kits out of the nest to feed them.When the jill thinks they need meat she will take it to them she knows what is best for her babies I would not advise handling the young until the jill lets them out of the nest.If she thinks they are in danger she will eat them.Good luck but I hope you don't need it.
