Go on you tube and look for Simon a bloke in the woods,he lives just up the road from me and his vids will show you how to use one and how to look after it as well.He does roast lamb joints and all sorts and a dutch oven in deffo on my list to get one...

He was if he said you need a sgc or fac to dock a pup as you don't,but anyway you got your pup docked and it's living happ ever after so all is good for you Tank ..
-
The pup were always bred from proven workers and not every pup bred is a winner and the ones we kept weren't ever made a show of when guests came out to play....
-
Thanks for bring me up to date bud....
-
Understand bud and i was just pointing out that folk don't need to own a sgc/fac to get a dog docked..

" OR " it's not " REQUIRED", and like i say it says a agent,ie any one who has permission and it don't say anything what so ever about how much land, what sort of land or even if the land is used for shooting in any way. I don't have a gun licence and my vet would dock any pup i took and be covered by the law in doing so... Can you chid put up the attachment for the chipping bit on the docking law bit to see if the chipping laws contradict each other as the six month bit was brought in with the docking bill..

How do any of you lot choose a lurcher pup if you don't let them run free and have a mooch with them?,feck me all this picking a pup from 6 weeks old when you've bred the litter , you'd only pick a pup that old on how fecking pretty it looks and not how it moves, acts or temprament. I'd be watching the litter grow and see how they are and the ones i don't want will soon show themselves and carry on until you have the one you want, that's how i chose my last lurcher and it was from a pals litter who has always done it that way and used to produce some handy collie'xs, my last lurcher was everyth

Didn't mean to sound so rude but he knew nothing about the law on docking Tank, the wording is quite simple and explains just what you need for a vet to do it and the law also states you have six months in which to chip the pup after docking which means the owners name could change from docking to chipping. ..I found my vet through a greyhound racer when i had a lame lurcher a few years back and didn't want to take her to the town vets as such, i just knocked her door and asked who her vet was and found the best vet i have ever met ...

Your vet is full of shit and talks bollocks to mate ,,
-
The writings of the law state you need a letter of permission from a rep of the land saying you have permission to do vermin control, your vet was wrong to say that and loads of folk think you need a gun licence when you don't.The law don't say you need a gun licence any where or the pup has to be chipped to the licence holder, your vet is full of shit mate and i'd find a new one before he fills your head with more bollocks...

Out the nest. stage one complete and looking bright eyed , feck me you know what your doing so not dragging them mate, but i always prefered natural stick perches as it gives the chicks all different size perches which helps strengthen feet and legs. A bird grips harder the more it relax's (it's why the don't fall out of trees when they sleep, for those who don't know ) and a perch it can get it's feet round will be easier for it to relax on, well that's my take on perches anyway and that clean healthy bird and spotless cage shows the care Bangers puts into his birds....

Come on the 7 15 , do us all a favour ....
-
Well he shouldn't have and it's not a gun licence you need it's a letter of permission from a land rep giving you permission to carry out vermin control..
-
That pup is to old for it to be docked like that,it now can only be done for medical reasons..eg if it keeps damaging it and it's suffering due to it...

Folks moaning about hares being shot and not being run by dogs, one of my permissions has been coursed and the fields driven on and because the "coursers" were so friendly when asked to leave by a lass who runs a clay ground on the estate the estate have now said kill them all as it'll save any hassle in the future. That pic is one days shooting and it was Cypriots that came and shot them and all but 5 were taken to be eaten by them,my terriers ate the others. Also a month or so ago a farm in my village i can see from my house was tourched 2 days after he ran some coursers off his fields and he

Afternoon mooch on local ponds
fireman replied to Bangersanmash's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
They do,a few larger ones iv'e seen chasing 6 inch mullet out the water before now but mostly schoolies really. The river has a rocky bottom so you will loose gear but it almost dries out at low tide so you can walk out and get it back, rag worm we use if we fish there or mepps spinners but bait is best..Good for a bit of fun as the tide comes in and over high water as such mate.. -
Afternoon mooch on local ponds
fireman replied to Bangersanmash's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
I watched one the size of a dinner plate swim past me both in and out with the tide on the far upper reaches of the river Deben next to the bridge just round the corner from the Suffolk Bacon place in Melton... Thinking about it there was some carp in the tidal river as well a few years back that were coping with the salt water.. -

Scottish consultation on hunting with dogs
fireman replied to Luckee legs's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Just can't be arsed to be honest but every animal suffers stress to some degree when being chased and if you had read wgat i said properly you would have seen i said" they don't suffer stress in the same way we do as like you say they'd go mental over it,as for foxes being stressed when dug i won't give any anti's any ammo but they ain't all mellow at the end of a dig and sat waiting for a chance to bolt that's for fecking sure..
