Well apart from getting the blame for the raid i don't know a lot about it as it goes,a lad who goes round there told us they were on bail for cruilty charges due back at the old bill shop in jan sometime but i don't know. They were in the local paper about it but i can't find anything about it on line(and god have i tried lol),leased dogs???? thats a new one, must be to get around the kennel licence bit i recon, the dogs he got from the north west were all bought or given to him,i was there on a few occasions.

Yep and keep quiet about it and sell pups bred from him, still there earning the name they wanted within the breed, lol.Thinking about it they didn't know it was cleft until i was feeding the pup for them one day,i found the fault and they kept it for a few months then who knows what happened to it

There's a puppy farmer for plummers down my way who brags about producing 50+ pups a year, kennel name starting with B.I'll have a bet someone on the other site your asking on has got in touch allready as it seems he's asking to sell other pups for them on there and wouldn't trust the truth about faults from them either.

I've got one and it will be the last i ever have, had it from 6 months and to be fare he has a really good nose and can hunt up a bit of rough as good as any lab can.He just hasn't got the killer bit in him and pulls up at hedges, doesn't give it his all and is the sort of dog that could break the spirit of a younger lad.I have put loads of work into him and if he did have that killer strike he would be all i would want, but he hasn't and it's frustraighting to say the least. He can be hissed down a beam to a squatter and is good around all stock, has been flushing snipe for fun this last week but

Foxgun, dont take the above advice......... You seem a genuine man, the courts will see this. Like you said admit it, slow down in future, and let it be a lesson learn't......... Tom he would say that he's a copper, but it's up to you in the end.I did hear if you say you and your wife were sharing the driving that day and neither of you are sure who was driving at the time then a without doubt prosocution is hard for them to get.I'd drag it out myself like quaser says then come up with my excuse, going guilty is something i don't do myself they have to prove it.

This wasn't put up to help sell these pups mate but i cannot belive these pups are still here, seems folk want ???? in fact i don't know what folks want these days in there lurchers as these will do all what will be asked of them, big or small game they'll give it there all just to try to please you if nothing else."Nout as queer as folk" as they say eh

Well it was about 15 mins old bud when you saw him(the big dog pup) i'd say there about 16 odd inches at the moment and yes mate well pleased with how they've turned out, that larger pup would do well down your way for sure he'll be a strong boy for retrieving strong game .

Well there still here at 11 weeks now and growing fast,i've been doing a bit of retrieving work with them and they all took straight to it no bother.I've also been introducing them to the ferrets slowly this week and apart from a little over playfulness there all getting to know each other, also i've had them sitting when told and they are coming on well.Just a few pics but i couldn't get them to pose still side on so your'll have to make do with what pics i did manage. I'll start with the bitch pup i'm keeping The 2 dog pups (bigger pup first) Smaller dog pup, slightly lighte

There is a lot of crap about but then even good pups arn't going,i have at mine(not my own litter though)a litter of which is a acd x gh litter.I would guess the only litter of this cross avalable in the uk at this time and apart from a few enquiries there still here, price does come into it but not even an offer has been made on any of them.Don't know the exact reason why anyone's pups arn't sellling, maybe to many litters bred for the xmas market? .

I'd regularly run my dog through it,if it comes out there side call it back and if it stops one up it's against the law to leave it so tell the anti to get the spade out.You could tell them your going to set snares if they don't let you move them and again it's against the law to release them once handled(don't tell the anti that),flush them, net them and then shoot the feckers and then tell them about there law they were so keen on bringing in

For dogs from a hot country these dogs handle the cold very well dont they?,the pups at mine just sleep in there shed door way and have given up on there kennel. They will sit all day on the patio and just not bother about the wet or cold, grand pics mate and not a bad bit of land for a mooch. That pup is coming on well, did the old timer come out with you this time as well or stay at home in the warm(like old hands tend to do when they've earned it).Strong pup that mate and may you have many more board of the weather days . Victor when you have had a bit of life exprience(i don't mean more teen

Were the pups retrieving the rabbits indoors a kennel/feed house type affair?,if so it must be the same bit of video i've been watching and it made me get off my arse and get some work started with these pups. They took straight to it as well, giving it up easly when they brought back the rabbit i was using. -
what age to feed puppys
fireman replied to munsterlurcher's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I started to feed a lurcher litter meat(butchers off cuts) put through a blender at between 3 and 4 weeks, make the consistency of sick(as mum would do naturaly). They'll make a right mess to start with but they'll get the hang of it and mum will clean them up anyway, the jabs will be around the 10-12 week mark depending on how they are getting on. -

Australian cattle dog x greyhound pups
fireman replied to fireman's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Totaly understand what your saying mate about unknown quantities unless experienced, this x will need a experienced hand to get the best out of them but i can't see them falling short of what would be asked of them.Yes these pups should go a bit for sure but the acd is a very trainable dog and although a dog for working stock, stock breaking them shouldn't be any harder than with a collie or collie x.As you know there not my pups so what homes they go to is a bit out of my hands but i do hope the new owners keep us updated on there progress as well.I watched a video this week that showed a glimp -
£1200-2000 for a ring .Bugger that my dogs would get some new runs and she would have a new brush to clean them out,if she was still here and wanted a ring to put her finger into i'd bend over .You should ask her mum for her granny's old wedding ring or some other ring from the family, sentimental and free

Australian cattle dog x greyhound pups
fireman replied to fireman's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Thats is a fine looking dog there bluey and what a head on it as well, good to hear what i thought that they are capeable of most tasks put to them. Not trying to shift these pups on but am surprised myself they are still here as these should make grand working lurchers with a few bonuses added like the guarding instinct and the desire to please the owner,as you know to please you is one of there main goals in life and to make sure your always safe as well. That pup with the star would be my choice if i didn't have 2 male dogs at home already a very full of life pup him and as it goes the first t -
Your right mate glycerin(or how ever you spell it)just trial and error on how much you need to put in to stop it from freezing but not a lot from what i can remember,i swop mine every day if there frozen as i have loads of water bottles at the moment but have used glycerin before myself.
