  1. Me and a mate went out just to get away from the kids really and had a few hours tidder bashing to use up a few maggots he had left over, chub, pearch, gugeon and a few little dace. When realing a dace my mate had a pike come after it so after a quick scrabble we set up his kids 3 ft rod with a live bait set up and set it out while we carried on tiddler bashing. After a few minetes the line tightened on the kids rod and a pike of 3-4lbs was on,when playing it another bigger pike came in to see what was going on.Once landed we put a liitle chub out on the live bait rig and in just a minete or two ag
  2. The topic reads "Have you got something against ALL foreigners?" My answer is no,that chap on the ouch thread is a good un!!!.
  3. Fecking bright spark doing that.
  4. Bring a couple of kits to Norfolk and i'll have them but please next year think before you breed.
  5. I've just had some pups done in Norwich and the vet said i've got 3 months to micro chip,he's given me the chips and forms so any future owners can get them done at there own vets or whatever.A permission letter for pest control is all that is needed and not a sgc, saying that how many vets have phoned up and checked with the land owners that the letter is a real one?,mine was but others may not be .
  6. It ain't worth working for poor people they can't pay you!.
  7. Instead of using the onion bag mix up some bread in some water and to use it pour a little in but often, make it like soup as if it's got flakes of bread init the fish will feed off of this instead of your hook bait. The idea is to get the fish in a swim looking for food but not to be feeding them, good luck and let us now how you get on.
  8. A neighbour of mine who works on a local farm found a totaly black leveret that was in poor condition a few years back and took it home nursed it back to health and then released it back out onto the farm when it was big and old enough to cope,it has been seen around by a few different people over the years and stayed totaly black so coped with rerelease ok.
  9. Use little rag worm or even better harbour rag worms, the tiny little rag your'll find in most eastuary mud,put a few on and just hook them through the body so they wriggle.
  10. A tv arial conector is the same as whats on standard collars mate.
  11. I myself put a the same offer last season and had a few lads contact me and had a couple of days out with some of them,if no one answers your add mate we'll have a Norfolk get together sometime and keep it all to ourselves lol.
  12. Both good layers and the marans i have had in the past were grand mothers, well worth getting a few of each.
  13. He has just tapped into a name for his lurchers,he's kept the same line for a while now but all the same just line bred lurchers. Also there bred in Northamtonshire so to be a bit picky they can't be Norfolk lurchers can they?.
  14. Those holes in their sides are what they breath through.
  15. Mine would do the same as yours. No. Not a chance and if it was my dog it happened to thats my problem for not sorting out my fence so a terrier can't escape.
  16. Well Scent at least you had someone else to blame mate,i shot myself once!!.Shooting pigeons for my ferrets and stubbed the barrel into the ground, when i went to break it to clear out the mud i tripped and pulled the trigger shooting myself in the little finger. To say it a stupid thing to do is taking it easy and the laughs at home at me and at the hospital(i couldn't squeeze the pellet out)rubbed salt into the wound i can tell you .
  17. If a man or woman can honestly say they've never been done in either when they lost a dog or even had one fail on them then they ain't dogmen,a craftsman looks after and cares for his tools of his trade mate, cowboys don't!!!!.
  18. Well i seen it done by this tiny 1/2 x whippet that was 3/4 greyhound,1/2 rocket up the ar*e,1/2 irish wolfhound. It was was smooth coated with long hair and was docked but with feather on it's tail, the chap running it was a tall short fella with a bold head with dreadlocks,he was a arab/nigerian who was white and if anyone sees him tell him that motor he sold me was cr*p.
  19. I had a hancock dog and he'd hunt like a spaniel during the day, quartering the ground and using his nose like a trooper.During the night on the lamp he was as fast back in as he was going out,had him so i could send him out 200 odd yards on a hiss from me to a squatter,if he didn't see it he'd run for a bit stop and take a look at me,another hiss would send him on his way again until he'd see it himself, this i could do in the daytime as well.So with a bit of time spent with your dog yes mate you can do both and those who say otherwise are usally failed dog trainers themselves as if i can do it
  20. One of my butchers buys in whole chickens and then takes the wings, legs and breasts off himself and i get the whats left,i get about 3 boxes a week of these, ask your's how they get there chicken in and ask for the left over carcasses.I sort all my meat into carrier bags enough for a days feeding then freeze them and defrost a bag a day, remember though it's saturday and he may be busy so hit him a bit later in the day when he's quiet and he'll have more time for you.
  21. Take her on her own and start from scratch with her,on lead at all times then when she ready to progress after showing no signs of agression for a week or two then onto a longer lead so you can keep contact with her at a longer distance, then onto short length of times running free but brought back to heal regularly, any signs of agression you go back to the begining and start again. Her being with the other dogs will give her confidence to start on someone or something as she has back up but on her own you say she is nervy so use it to your benifit as she will seak guidence in what to do in a co
  22. Butch,i feed all my dogs(4) on butchers scraps for free, the ferrets as well and all butchers have to pay to get there off cuts and bones taken away.It costs them about £50 odd for a weeley bin full so anything that you can get from them saves them money, one of my butchers lets me sort through his bin for all the bits i want and another saves the off cuts in a seperate bag.Any large bones or off cuts you get you shouldn't pay to much for really and the larger bones you seem to be after you should get a rucksack full for a pound or two, tell them your young and skint and that you taking there wa
  23. Glemham hall it's on this weekend but son't want to go if there's no dog things, there web page says there's a terrier show but also states it's a fun dog show sort of thing.
  24. Anyone ever been and whats it like?,was wondering if there's terriers and lurcher showing and that sort of thing. Also if there is terriers etc is anyone going?.
  25. Well done bud, allways worth dropping a line for a conger off of there at night.A cast to the right off of the head towards the small beach with a fish bait has seen me catch flounder there,i've even had launce just to the right of the head using small little prawn hokia and used them for bass bait. The rocks on the very right of the main beach are well worth a spin for a bass first thing in the morning as the tide comes up and starts to cover them, spinning for pollock with a 1 or 2oz bomb a 18" trace then a frozen sand eel bait elastic'd on to the hook is one of my favourite ways of fishing tha
