  1. I've just got a couple of three birds given to me a few years back and these are just excess chicks hatched this year, the cock(sire, father) is a golden duckwing type and the hen(mother)is a blue tailed wheaten hen.Don't know about them being from any particular strain, but like i say just excess birds that if they don't go soon will be soon residing at chicken roundabout(a place where local unwanted chickens end up living, rather than ferret food).I'll try to get some pics up later but it's raining here and they don't want to come out lol, nice enough birds though and just thought someone might w

    HOUSE SWAP

I've been trying to swop houses for over a year now,on loads of websites and have been offered loads of really nice houses it's just they ain't been in south west wales.Had a swop sorted and even signed paperwork and got let down a few weeks before the move, gutted to say the least and if the person who swops with me hunts or shoots they get my permission aswell.Good luck bud and it can get frustrating but one day the perfect house will come,if you want any websites for house exchange's just ask some you pay a little for some are free.
  4. Sorry mate but as it says pick up only, there cheap enough and i don't want to travel to sell them.
  5. Been getting a few bowls full off of my bush in the garden for a couple of weeks now, apples on the tree are ready as well and as i type the misses is making a crumble .
  6. Got 4 spanish stags for sale about 5-6 months old,out of a gold duckwing cock and wheaten hen.£15 each or swop w.h.y.??,pick up only in Norfolk near Diss..£35 for them all as a job lot...
  7. for got to mention where we were shooting the police chopper is based close i did not know this so when it poped up hovering over the hide i shit my self That would have been a bird to drop out the sky mate !.
  8. sounds promising read the ad and you will know why im not putting a dog out have someone mess it up then try and back it iv seen this with other peoples dogs i dont kennel dogs for fun but u will have to take my word hard thing to do these days i know but go and buy a pup rear it and see if you think its dear if someone wants it mate they will prob want to trial it so if it is doing its job propper why are you worried about them giving it back best ov luck Exactly what i was thinking and you could be out on that trial if you were that worried about the buyer ruining the dog
  9. Good pics there from both Hanna and Aces and i thought i'd seen another plummer there, found out my lurchers don't do bag chasing but fun to watch others that do.My acd x pup got a rossette in the bitch pup class so it was good to see others think she's a nice thing as well and the way he handled all the dogs was very good, some very nice terriers and lurchers there indeed again well done and thanks for a great day out.
  10. Grand do and well done all who put it on .
  11. Pup looks good mate and the others look sharp things, all the best with them.
  12. Had her out with the lamp last night, only her second time and although she didn't catch she never made a fool of herself and was right on there scuts even diving into cover after them, not the best night for it as it was very still with a bit of a moon and it isn't the easiest bit of ground even for a wise old dog.Still she put a smile on my face with the way she went about her bussiness and can't wait for a better night weather wise to run her again, thanks everyone for the feedback and Wild rover i'm due some pics of Caterpillers dog soon and i'll scan them up for you as soon as i can mate and
  13. She's only about 23" tts and as for the whiskers,i have no idea where they came from. The sire i never saw but he must have had a little something else in him,she gets a bit of a longer coat down her back in winter as well so i wouldn't bet my life on it being a straight gh.
  14. The other litter came out very heavy and imo wasn't a success, the others out of my bitches litter are still about and doing alright. The pics aren't very good Terrie and don't show her markings very well as she has a more speckled coat than it shows, funny as some of this litter are red dogs with white speckles and some are white dogs with a red speckle. Thanks for the feedback folks and once i start getting her into real shape for the winter i'll get some more pics up with a good camera.
  15. For those that have been asking and sorry for the delay ,an update on my pup. She's 9 months old and is coming on in a way i'm happy with, she's caught a few day time bolted by the terriers and hunts up using her nose well. She was never going to be a racey type but is faster than she looks and has good feet and strong legs, she's all muscle and is very strong for her size.Loves water especially smeggy ditches or slurry puddles  and retrieves back to hand, she's helped with a few retrieves on cwd and muntie and got her hands dirty as it were.So far so good and can't wait for the coming seas
  16. I've got a Acd x pup at 9 months old and am happy with how she's coming on,got a good nose on her, ain't shy of cover, very loyal, clever and although not tall(23"ish tts)she's very strong and has very good feet and legs on her.She is faster than she looks and haven't knackered her out on mooches out or walks so seems to have some stamina about her, this winter will be the test. There was a thread like this a time back and we had some fine looking pics of both of these types of lurchers, there are a few about and the owners seemed pleased with them.
  17. Thats got me wondering what happened to my folks set they had when i was a nipper.
  18. Seen the title then seen who posted it and thought"old goldfinch is learning the ways of beagles" lol,be easier mate when your whipper in's have grown a bit.
  19. Come on lads it was funny banter, should have been left when your man answered our jokes and took them in good heart.Well done on the fish mate but lets not ruin it and get all argumentative with each other,it was all in good fun to start with and now it's getting silly.
  20. Now thats funny!. Thats a nice fish mate and don't listen to them p*ss takers,i think your well brave for being out in the day time.
  21. Saw on another site a story with a few pics of a mule killing a mountain lion, there were 2 dogs there but they kept well out of it.The mule went for the lion grabed it by the tail and swang it around bashing it's head of the ground,it then stamped on it,bit it,kneeled on it and killed it.
  22. Try more than 8ft away if it's clicking then read the numbers as double of what they say and that will show you if there 15ft ones mate, the only difference in the boxes for 8ft and 15ft is the sticker on the dial.
  23. Swine flu is in Norfolk already mate and as for wearing masks it makes it easier to catch as the masks get damp from your breath so they catch the germs easier.
  24. Could try sitting out at night and squeeking it in,if your lucky and you get it then let him rag it up.As he's never seen one before you may have to tease him with it to get him going but once they start lol,he is still a young un so take your time as an adult fox could well put him off. He'll get there just leave the earth alone for a while now the dog been through it and your'll find one at home when he's old enough to tackle them.
  25. Heard on the news about a chap over this way who had been stung over 200 times and ended up in hospital, think he just accidently disturbed them in his garden.
