Compared to the numbers of patterdales, russells, lakies etc being worked, plummers are amongst a minority to start with, so the numbers of them being worked to ground is bound to be far less again. Without sounding funny mate you must have been lucky with that dog,i own a wolfhound and i can't see apart from a cracking coat anything they could offer to a lurcher.There size puts them at a disadvantage to start with and reading your story it was no surprise it once suffered a broken leg,i'd say stick with whats out there allready mate and just remember your old dog as a one off.Hope you don't take offence mate it's just theres a lot better x's out there to use.

Depends on what you want really,a good strong head is a must with terriers,when they get older your'll see which pup is the boss,which pup is the shyest and which pup is the disapline giver(this isn't allways the same as the top dog in the litter).All i can say is take your time and pick the one that will suit your needs,mine are 7 weeks and i haven't quite chosen yet.It's going to be here for life so a few weeks choosing now won't lead to years of not being 100% happy with it later,good luck with it but just watch the litter and learn from it and the one for you will show itself in time.

Both of my plummers live indoors bud,i just swap them over ever so often.It's not hard at all and i've never even come close to having a unwanted mating with them,the worse thing is the whining from my dog sometimes at night when there in the same room,i just shut the door so i can't hear it.Imo accidental matings are due to owners being slack with their charges.

Get an indoor cage mate,it's easy one in,one out.Don't chop off his balls,just take a little time making sure accidents don't happen.

Agree with you there and the title brood bitch makes me cringe but thats what she has been,don't know how often she herself was hunted but i'd of had her out as much as i could as the little bits i've seen her do she did well.Well these lads with this attitude of she's got good blood so lets tap into it need to wake up and get a grip and test them first before breeding them,just glad there are a few lads out there that are testing their plummers so hopefully the future for this breed won't be all about rossettes.I myself have just had a plummer litter but it took a couple of seasons of work be

As it goes Hanna there are so many different strains of lepto that the jabs against it pretty much useless,also i've allways been led to belive a booster is the same as the first jab anyway.I've never given any of my lot boosters and never had any problems,i've even got jabs sat in the fridge but there for future pups not the adults.

Watch the vid and it says it's a belgium blue,they have bred double muscled -double muscled to produce these freaks.Seen some whippets like it a while back on here and imo it's fecked up what there doing.
