  1. And some of them caught more game in one season than most on here will see in a life time, these days the pups do make money for a few that do breed for cash but out there there are still a few folks working and doing well with these dogs.
  2. It'll have to be a rum old beddy to have a better nose than most plummers but your probebly right about temperment, but saying that socialization when a pup is a must with any breed of dog.Seen some very good retrieving plummers and know of a couple that won't ever be shown up on a peg on shoot day by any breed of gun dog.
  3. Years ago when i had a old ford D series and was totting for scrap i had air horns with the dukes of hazard tune and that got the feckers up to the windows to look who it was ,you could allways get one of the local toe rag kids to nick the school bell if you cant find a bugle! .
  4. Good little do that and well done lads and lasses who put it on and well done the winners, those russell pups are belters arn't they? .
  5. Depends on what you want the new breed for really .I myself have helped home 4 plummers from pet homes into working homes as they were not sutable as just pets and they were all cases of pretty looking dogs being in the worng hands. But as you say instint is inherited and there is probebly truth in your own bred dogs doing better in pet homes than most.
  6. Good one Dotty and best of luck for the future .
  7. Toby lost to ground ..before used ..typical working terrier attitude work first the legend dies briliant dog left nothing behind ..er now what..nowt in reserve not even a single insurance litter ??? "Typical working terrier attitude",you really that stupid to not know it's called testing your stock and seeing if it's worth breeding from and imo it does make you look a proper twat saying such things on a working terrier topic glen. You working terrier folk it seems you've all been breeding it wrong for hundreds of years now? .
  8. If you mean jabbed ie inoculated then you should have had it done months ago .
  9. Like i said i have nothing to prove to you or anyone. Well shut the feck up then .
  10. Nice bitch Bobo, got that blood myself and happy with how things are going .
  11. You lot won't find nothing worth the effort in norfolk so don't bother coming to look and anyway it's all my land after dark .
  12. So can fecking we Waz  ,just glad there is a divide to be honest as this is all the proof i need to know my plummer's a good un. and not on your redg Glen .
  13. Looks like you've got yourself a dead mole in the post mate, with offers like that i'm out my depth .
  14. I'll swop a real genuine snowman that my nipper has had in the freezer for 2 years now(it's in a ice cream tub ),might sound a crap offer but how many people have a real snowman in july? and a once in a lifetime offer mate . Ps also could throw in a twelver conker with string to swing the deal.
  15. I know a vet in norwich 40 odd £ a pup though,if you get really stuck.
  16. Good going for a little session and all good fun(should i say such a thing in case the anti's use it one there web site? ),well done all. and a to the anti's .
  17. I myself have a russell with a undershot jaw, niether of his parents had this "fault" but he is line bred to a point so both parents had to be carriers of the fault in their genes for it to surface. Now the line he's from is a well proven line of workers so to say never breed from the parents is wrong imo, don't repeat the mating but why stop breeding from either parents again?.All you have to do is be a little more carefull about the fault back ground with any terrier dog or bitch you use in the future to breed from and do some fecking homework on them and what they've produced before.
  18. Those bull blooded dogs were allways ment to go back to pure breds AS YOU WELL KNOW,so that drawn out statement putting them down is again glen imo you trying to big yourself up AGAIN and it does really show what a sad little tw*t you really are to keep on doing that glen .Can't you get your misses to pat you on the head and say "yes glen your allways right" save us having to put up with you trying to boost your ego.
  19. Good little set up that,a little tip mate if you paint the wire black your'll see your ferrets better through it.
  20. You did very well at YOUR OWN SHOW with YOUR OWN DOGS but because you don't show dog someone else did(eptr member?)with yours and your proud of the fact you did well .My terriers may well be shown at crufts then sold on,says it all about you glen it really does and others are the halfwits eh? .
  21. I think a hidden camera might help your case mate .
  22. Dee Mac your post about the plummer clubs and what there aims are and the gap with those clubs and those working owners like a few on here is worlds apart mate, folks like eptr who claim to have the breed at heart are the main pushers for kc recognision. Why?,cash and the want to win cruft's and the ego that goes with it ,his excuse is brian plummer wanted it himself but read the sort of thing he really thinks of plummer himself and your see he's full of lies,he thought the man a fool and a liar and has said as much on this thread. The other clubs are the same and thats why we that do try to gra
  23. So some plummers do work, some bolt, some stay till dug and some don't even go into the dark and some are saying things are different with other terrier types or breeds? .The thing with the plummer is unlike the other working types they ain't been around long and were never ment to be souly earth dogs so to compare them up against dogs with such great digging/working history as the terriers from the fells/borders/hills and dales (and some moor down cornwall/devon way lol)is what non plummer owners tend to do,i myself would never do such a thing as all i have is a plummer who does a bit,her pare
  24. Been slated myself for showing pics of my plummer and quarry and don't have to prove feck all to anyone about how mine work to be honest but if you've a occupied hole or two come winter i'll show you what she can do mate.
  25. Have to agree with others thats a cracker of a dog stroller as is yours ASME IX mate, just how a working lurcher should be built lads and best of luck with them both.
