  3. out again later today over the east to fly on the hares, hope to secure on this time if she succeeds then I shall be feeding her and ending my season there she caught a nice buck rabbit yesterday with ease, the first slip she had, saw a few hares but could get anywhere near them fingers crossed for laters

  9. so bloody close, had four slips on hare, two were really out of range and my in experience on them, next two were more a less under me feet, first of these two she connected to the lepus's arse, got a right good bucking, with m trying to throw myself into it without hurting my bird, unfortunately the hare got away, the next one ran out in to the field and my bird was on to it like a seeking missle, hare jinked and twisted to evade capture I fed my female up after this, roll on this Saturday and sunday as they both going to be hare days
  10. typical, I go to one area to see if the hare is still about and my flying buddy goes to another area, I see all his quarry and he see's a bloody hare, oh well a 2hr trip is set for sunday to get me a hare, east were heading

  12. any luck on the hares bangyoucanthide? my female has had hold of three so far this season ,loosing both after being kicked of etc, flying weight is around 2lb7-2lb7.5 she's a real rabbit stopper and most of the time she bowls them up with one foot and standing on the floor with the other foot! I would like to end the season with a hare in bag, a trip east maybe on the cards

    2014/15 Season

great write up pointer, keep it up
  14. she had her 19th rabbit today, tomoz will be our last day on rabbit, hopefully to get her going on feather and hares if we bump in to any,
  15. just wanted to add ive had so much fun with this female, once I found her weight she's a proper rabbit stopper, there isn't much margin for her, she'll blank me if her weight is up half ounce from her starting weight, she was a struggle at the start but we over come it in time, the only bad thing is she can bate at any time for no reason, drives me daft some times! she's had 18 rabbits to date and she stupidly took on a Canadian goose instead of a mallard, she hasn't much interest in pheasants but hopefully to change that before they are out of season, she's had hold of three hares but lost he
  16. used a scout and an RT+ on my male for the last five seasons as he was backpacked aswell as tail mounted, but flying my female this season that has not been backpacked I tend to use either depending on where im flying, both are good enough for hawks
  17. could help out if theres rabbits to go at too? I don't mind one kill feed up
  18. bargain for someone, I'd have it if I was near
