Nice mate .As an inexperienced falconer many moons ago I used to exercise the Harris hawk all year round instead of putting him up to moult and you’ve guessed it ,he flew into a rookery where carnage ensued .Had his brancher and ate what he wanted and was ready to come down 6 hours later .The rooks had a mad flurry to start with but when he’d eaten his fill and was rested they left him to one end apart from odd fly over .The bird was almost bomb proof and wanted corvids with a passion from that day til I sold him .Did a lot in building near Bristol where jackdaws were shut in at night .Lampi

  18. Had a forum member down for a stalk last eve .Too much grass cut for my liking tbh honest but we pressed on until I found the right field for a wait .I know this ground like the back of my hand .If they ain’t out when the shadows are longest it’s time for a stalk before dark . A muntie buck with a huge pair of in velvet antlers came our way but disappeared in the hedge before a shot could be lined up.Grass here is still uncut mind . As the shadows lengthened we wandered on a bit to the next field and sure enough there was a doe and yearly pricket out in the grass picking at seeds .Ne
