    Fair enough bangers but why do you go on like a chap that’s never left the back garden then? I’d say you’re a complete Walter Mitty character. Every estate has the gombeen that walks the estate with a terrier and a whippet romancing about all the going he does. You go from one fantasy to another every day it’s something different was terriers now it’s coursing. I’d bet a pound to a penny all day that this time next year you’ll still have done f**k all but you’ll probably still have excuses

    Silly doesn’t cover it. We were digging a friend of mines dog a couple of weeks ago on a hunt day and when we took the dog out one of the youngsters was copped taking a picture of the dog. So my pal quick as anything grabbed the chaps phone and threw it into the hole and kept back filling it was priceless poor chap was close to tears

    Jesus how bad could you be to carry on like that. I heard a rumour last year that gun clubs here were advised to keep an eye out for lads working terriers and to report it. I know alot of farmers that if they heard this would never let a pheasant pen on their land again never mind the rats shooting. In a lot of cases the farmer can do without the hunt and the gun clubs but for various reasons they need the terrierman. Thank god a lot of them are sensible and understand this and value the work done.

    Great stuff Jukel there’s life in the old dog yet. It seems to be something that gets into people’s blood I’ve seen a couple of older lads who never really adjusted to life when they had retired from sea. Enjoy every minute and send a few pics of the catch.

    Good post and I agree. You’ll always get the toffs where you have horses I dabble abit in them now and there’s some right wankers out there but is any trade or business any different. But I also agree with Gunter and hard hunting pack of harriers that are consistently finishing hunts are probably just too much for most mounted packs these days especially with the way the land has gone with winter corn and stuff. Anyway happy Christmas men and enjoy all the days out that come with it.
