    And that's why they can be quite tricky to kill, because they don't have a long neck inviting a throat hold like a roe deer. They are small, short and compact, sturdy little things.

    I don't really like rabbit or hare to eat mate tbh, much prefer venison.

    What if they like to run fallow regularly, they ain't doing better than good bull crosses, they just won't have the power or the stomach for it when you encounter a specimen that doesn't want to play ball.

    If I wanted a dog to catch for food only, it would be a deer dog, stuff your rabbit and your hare lol, and I think muntjac is the nicest deer as well.
