  2. Patrick Pinker sells a tunnel, its a bit expensive though. Patrick Pinker
  3. We have a very healthy population of polecats in this part of hampshire and are frequently caught whilst trapping rabbits.
  4. Waste of time, there are far better ways of trapping rats! - the only good thing is the novelty value
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Entwhistle Guns
  6. I have just installed 12 drop boxes along the M3 at Basingstoke, Hants and put locking kits on them for exaclty that reason. People can't leave anything alone.
  7. It depends on the situation, is it a domestic small garden, large farm or golf course. Some pesters charge a fixed price, per mole or per trap, I myself charge a fixed price after a comprehensive survey and take into account the time I am going to spend there each day, fuel and how many visits its going to take. It all depends on what your time and skill is worth and how busy you are, its trial and error to start but dont sell yourself short just to get the work.
  8. After Nigel died his wife folded the business up, the trap I mentioned was in the testing stage when I had them and was not at the time on general sale. This was a great shame as the trap caught foxes constantly.
  9. Does any one remember Nigel Shearing of Longmeadow?, he made live catch traps in a workshop at Donhead St Mary near Shaftsbury in Dorset. I tested a fox trap he made many years ago using a concrete water drainage pipe. The pipe was dug into a bank and had a metal blank that clamped on one end and a door mechanism that was dug into the ground the other. A wire run from the door mechanism and back through the blank with a bait hook, when set the fox pulled the bait hook and the spring loaded door came out of the ground trapping the fox inside. the blank end allowed you to despatch the fox inside
  10. Does John Underwood trade as Atlantic Stratford ? Yes he does, I bought a fox trap from him last year and it was shit.
  11. Try Magnum Trap, Master Hunter or Bridport Nets Magnum Trap Co - 1 – 10 poles….. £ 3.95 per pole 10 or more poles ….. £ 3.70 per pole Masterhunter Bridport Nets 120-2
  12. Fenn have stopped making the double entry trap but Proctor Brothers make one which seems ok,trade price is around £11.70. I agree with Rolfe an excellent trap. This one is a Fenn
  13. From the picture on the website they look like A B Country Products snares same as you get in agricultural merchants.
  14. Everyone to their own, I make my own using locks from the states, nothing wrong with the any of the relax-a-locks, micro locks or washer locks, its down to how you use them. I still use the original rocking eye snare designed by glen and copied by many but still remains a quick effective lock. The snares are only as good as the person setting it unless you buy the crap hard wire snare from your local agricultural merchants.
  15. 3.5" x 4" You can see the size of the trap in the you tube video on the bugspray website. Bugspray
  16. Its a canadian based company that produces extremely powerfull bodygrip traps often reffered to as the Cadillac of traps. An interrsting read also. Kill Trap Evaluation
  17. I like the 55 its a shame they are only approved for rats, like Snareman said they would be excellent on squirrels! There is also no difference in spring size to the 110.
  18. I am a big user and fan of the Victor Conibear 120-2 great trap, I also have a couple of LDL B120 Magnums from Canada that Snareman mentioned to me some time back - just for show of course but these traps are incredible. Our own spring traps in this country have a long way to go before coming anyway close to the LDL's
  19. Is that a Crossman CO2 pistol I see? good despatch pistol!
  20. You can get them from various suppliers - here are a couple. Patrick Pinker Essex Environmental
  21. Most farmers I have contracts with want a yearly price for rabbits. You need to work out the amount of time you will spend every week/month and what methods you are using and then calculate cost. Most farmers here in Hampshire will buy any drop boxes needed and generally pay to have them installed and maintained including the fence. But it is very easy to sell yourself short on rabbit contracts.
  22. A drowning line is not legal over here but they probaly have different laws to us in Ireland. Also the company that make Springers, A.B Country Products are investing more money and resources into trap design and strength than Fenn & Co. I think when the new EU legislation comes in the killing time on all but a few traps will need improving.
  23. I use a mixture of Fenn Mk6, Springer No6 and Solway Mk6 , bodygrips and snares. All are good in different situations.
