  2. i would go with the mittens,i recently bought a pair "not jack pyke" and my fingers were warm at the last round of the SHS,i can tell you it was a pretty cold day! mittens all the way
  3. hi Steve yes there will be another or two, hopefully in June / July,i just have to confirm dates and venues first!
  4. hi buddy i do mine as well, but as darryl says "if it aint broke, don't fix it" how long have you had it? a PCP will need a service every 3/4 years as this is the expected life time of the seal/O rings springers on the other hand should be done yearly
  5. mike i have to dis agree with that comment, you still have to place the shot at a precise range, which with a PCP it involves shooting skills, with a spring rifle its more rewarding but the same marksman principle applies i was out last night with Si,and we took the spectra's ratting.although we had double figures between us! i am sure if chaz was with us we would of had a lot more with the PCP,so hardly soul-less
  6. hi Dave you are very close to the limit there buddy,if i was you i would keep a close eye on that! as spring rifles once the rifle has bedded in i will say 100% it wont be 11.85, also have you tried a lighter pellet in it and see what your chrono says! you are better of having it at around 10.2/10.5 and try Falcon accuracy 7.3 gr & JSB Exacts express 7.9 gr much flatter trajectory and well within the legal limit, even if you put a 10.5 gr pellet in ,it will still stay under
  7. hi the only way to find out,is to find a shop where they offer a try before you buy service or your local club!
  8. hi Kelvin welcome to the mad house! you have purchased a good air rifle going to the gun shop is always like being in a sweet shop, far to many choices! i bet you weren't expecting to part with that amount of cash either what changed your mind from buying a PCP rather than a spring rifle? the two air rifles you mention,i have! the TX in .177 & 97 .22 both air rifles are as accurate as the other, well this remains to be seen once i get it back from SFS. there are a few lads on here from your area, you may like to catch up with them, for advise and knowledge.
