A Big Thank You To Davyt63
davyt63 replied to Skot Ruthless Teale's topic in General Airgun Discussion
hi skott the delrin spacer that comes with the V Mach kit is 4.22mm the preload washers that come with the V Mach kit is 1.23mm i took off 2 coils at 11.69mm which should work out at 1.8fpe per coil? so it should equate if you use the delrin spacer, it should bring it back by 2.7fpe to 10.9fpe? i think you should try three preload washers, this i believe will get you near to 9.5/9.8fpe ? please let me know how it goes the calculations i have done are from my own finding, this may differ from yours? -
Tuning Advice Needed! Tx200Hc Mk3 .177
davyt63 replied to tyephillips's topic in General Airgun Discussion
hi buddy @ 11.8 you are running a risk? at running in to trouble with the law? my TX was runnig at 12.2fpe after i put a V Mach kit in it,so i took two coils of and now its at 8.7fpe,if i put the delrin spacer in as well it will take it to 10.1fpe.but i am happy with it at the moment till it beds in,if there is a decrease then i will put the delrin spacer back in. as to making it quiet? strip down and polish the piston and compression tube, trigger tune polish sears, de-bur spring ends, polish spring ends, replace spring guide & top hat with delrin and degrease & re- grease with -

I have just got off the phone to Karl and he has no idea of this event, and cannot accommodate us, or have the facilities we require. So my apologies Karl I have a plan B in place as i type, which is in the same area, but I can’t confi -

hi Rob i will check that out buddy -
hi Danny what you need to do is find the hot spots, you must do a reccy and see where they going and coming from, i wouldn't worry about bait just yet, find the farm food source (cattle feed/maize) and i guarantee you will find most of the rats if there is no food source then bait the hot spots good luck!

Now thats a fair point Si , so why are they becoming so popular again ? Is it the whole experiance that you get , ie , the hours put in at the range , is it price , or are people going back to basics ? And just for the pm , its a genuine interest i have into why springers seem to be making a massive comeback . I`ll say , as ive said many times before , i dont shoot em , im more at ease with pcp`s . I have shot them , and no doubt will again at some point , but their just not for me . I find the cocking of a pcp outweighs the breaking of the barrel when your trying to blend in ,
