  4. hi Daz i own the HW 97 & HW 95 & SFS Chieftain The HW 97 is a under lever & deadly accurate, and probably not for noodle arm owners. & definitely not hold sensitive The HW 95 is a break barrel, a lot lighter and prone to hold sensitive, but still deadly accurate once mastered (don't own one but have shot one) The HW is a break barrel, not as heavy as the 97,but as deadly.& definitely not hold sensitive (don't own one but have shot one) The HW 98 is a break barrel, not as heavy as the 97,but personally the most accurate i have shot, apart from the "Chie
  5. Or in my arms hi V it will never look good,in your noodle arms

  7. hi buddy cut down a drill bit, just find the right size bit, to fit the arrestor pin hole
  8. Check out your local club buddy, until you know your aim points. Then if your garden is long enough. And has a safe back stop then carry on,you might want to let you neighbours know your intentions, be polite as some neighbours can be ass holes, and will call the police ?
  9. Nice noe matt, you can remove the safety/bear trap.take out of the stock, remove retaining bolt and coking arm, then just lift it out. You will now be abke to De cock the rifle . Please make 100% you keep hold of the cocking arm every time you load the tifle
  10. Happy birthday buddy, have a good one!
  11. hi buddy once cocked, try giving the cocking lever a little pull down, while pressing the bear trap in,this should sort it out?
  12. Nice post, nice read, nice pics ,nice job, nice group! Cant complain about that!
  13. hi V a lot of that looks mostly surface, i think you will be surprised how easy its going to be to remove it. the hardest part is gong to be the breech block and the cocking arm,as of now i have not found any thing which will hold em to rotate them fast enough to hold some wet n dry/wire wool,so that will have to be good old elbow grease. if you have an old broom handle, wrap some cloth around it,stick it in the cylinder, put a 4" screw in the end, this way you can rotate it from a cordless drill, but go easy over the markings/stamps,or pick your self up a stamp kit of eBay just in case
  14. hi 9 times out of ten i shoot low,and 9 times out of ten the quarry comes down low it is for me!
  15. hi buddy thanks for the comments,i only remember reading about it somewhere on the net,as i am interested in buying a digital reader,to set my spring rifles with match triggers safely! you may get an answer from your local gunsmith or a local FT club,im am sure these guys are particular on lb weight on trigger pull,to enhance the rifle.
  16. hi Matt i have enjoyed this journey with you & your TX its nice to see a member giving a forgotten rifle a new lease of life.the stock looks great buddy you have done a good job. regarding delrin guides give SFS a ring in west Bromwich or Dave Hall in Sheffield, they are both capable of turning a guide out for you,but they would probably need your spring to,custom make the guide to fit the spring. i am sure i have a spare guide in my man cave which you are welcome to,next time i am in there i will take a look for it
  17. birchwood & casey bluing kit,it has a rust remover.if you can get the end in a half inch chuck on a cordless drill, small amount of oil and wet n dry.you wont remove all the pitting depending on how deep, but it will look ten times better! or you could spray paint it,with two primer coats, and three top coats. plenty of info here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/293034-rifle-restoration-projects/
  18. for what this is worth ? i have herd the HW,A&M MKII Twink,A&M Marksman, nutshot. it will be a very good mod to beat the latter two
