  1. I wasn't sure tbh that what I was thinking.
  2. Do you get written agreements, what you can and can't do how cancelation works etc or do you just go of verbal?
  3. Well I was thinking of buying one of them Rambo hunting knives and keeping it and an apple close by. If any black suited ninja sab approached I could whip both out and start casually cutting off slices to eat. That way they see your 15" steel all casual and hopefully think twice or at lease keep distance, im just eating my apple. Oh and also have a body cam on my chest.
  4. Is anything in the pipe line in the UK for protectiog landowners against animal rights extremists from tresspass and harassment? I see other countries have stepped up such as France and Australia, but has the UK got anything going? Also, have any of yous been harassed while out hunting by extremist aggressive halfwits? How would you deal with it if you're alone or atleast outnumbered with all your equiptment (guns etc) and potentially the fear of getting attacked and them getting your knives, guns etc. Do you have any plan of how you'd deal with this kind of bad situation?
  5. Thanks let me know in the dark, thats when I'd be using it really, hopi g to spot foxes well before 100 yards incase I need to change position etc. But looks like its a pulsar ill be buying
  6. Can you ID a fox or rabbit at 350m out?
  7. Thought I'd share this as I've been looking for a decent test for ages today. None went over 100m but then I found this. Eye ii series v2 3e looks the best to me. Should ID a fox at 250m on that, deer 350m no issue.
  8. I'm interested in rabbit fox deer, and target practice on a range 25-1000yrd. If you were to only own one rifle, is the 6.5 creedmoor the best all round compromise? or do you prefer .243? I'll also have a 12gauge for pigeon, rabbit, and clay. All this with lead free ammo in mind since we seem to be going that way.
  9. Any books (or dvds) yous can suggest for a beginner? Is there a beginners bible kind-of-thing out there? For hunting/ stalking/ shooting birds, fox, deer etc. I've downloaded these ebooks. Not sure what good they are, I found them on a free download.
  10. Same with fishing, you hit on good areas and quiet areas.
  11. I was thinking the same tbh thought good gear cost more...? My guess was upto or around £1k..?
  12. Who/ which are the biggest and or best gun/ rifle walk in stores UK that you can check equipt out look at/ feel, such as scopes and so on. As I think I'd prefer to look through a scope before I bought one.
  13. Is camo really beneficial over bolder greens and browns etc, also being that deer hunters can stalk wearing bright orange, you are exposed when shooting flying animals not necessarily wearing camo but more concerned with staying still and so on. Is camo better used to hide from other humans rather than pest animals?
  14. SFP - If you demagnify, 1milrad could be half the fox. Fully magnify, 1milrad could be the foxes eye. Both magnification settings, including anything inbetween would give you different measurements. None of the scope magnification range can be right if its giving you entirely different readings. Only 1 setting, max magnification, is right. If you take a shot and need to move say 1milrad, as soon as you adjust your magnification that measure is useless. Its like measuring the radius of the sun from earth with a ruler at arms length. Your ruler might say the suns radius is 4", its not an a
  15. Just wondering why the upgrade? Does your current inferior mod effect balance? Bullet Accuracy, decibels? or you just want to spend some cash on a new addition?
  16. What are peoples opinions on digital v manual turret scopes? Would digital be prone to more malfunctions and are they still worth it at an entry level to mid range price over manual turret scopes?
  17. I'd imagine its the same type of training you'd do to prevent your dog scaring to a hoover. Likely to be many videos on YT that may help.
  18. Do there products do the job adequately or should you put your money into better? If so what brands?
  19. Who/ which are the biggest and or best gun/ rifle walk in stores UK that you can check equipt out look at/ feel, such as scopes and so on. As I think I'd prefer to look through a scope before I bought one.
  20. Watching this video which is great info. Is there a decent phone app to make quicker calculations for target-distance in the field? If you don't have a range finder?
  21. Alot buy from alibaba then resell for profit on ebay or amazon.
  22. Do you need prior knowledge of deer stalking before you do the DSC1 course? I know there are pre dsc but I'm sure they are just money makers. You can likely get all pre course info from a basic £20 deering book. Id imagine... I like jumping in at the deep end, but its a £300 deepend. Does the course teach you everything to pass the course? The multi question assessment out of 30p possible questions sounds a it steep to learn all that and pass on the day.
