Alarmed Diana Mod 34 L06 Being part made in China?
JakeFury replied to JakeFury's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Sh-t. I love some of my Chinese guns tbh, I've worked on them until they worked as if they cost much more, ultimately I have fun doing it, and they cost a lot more to perform like that! But a Diana? Might just have to be another HW to fill the cabinet. Maybe a Walther or a......... -
I've got a really nice setup for my Falcon T50 on my comp springer. But I've also bought the SM ATP90 adjustable mounts, they sit nice on a picatiny rail adapter giving my the scope height I needed to load the 97 with a high mag scope. But I get the feeling I've gotten myself into a world of pain with these mounts. The idea being you adjust out any inaccuracy at the mounts before the scope?..... I've played around with the mounts and they life and twist and provide side to side movement. I've spent a lifetime zeroing scopes and noticed that with some Rifles in the past there

OK, so I had decided that this would be the last in my collection, as I need the money to prepare to actually try and shoot competivley. I've wanted one for a while by an RFD I deal with a lot told me that they are not what they were and they don't / might not have the status of being Made in Germany any longer? Gasp.... Does anyone know anything about this?

Well that's good to hear mate. They are very good at sorting out problems, but then they are just selling a cheaply made Chinese product... A well made cheaply made Chinese product I'll grant you. My Airmax 3 to 9 was rubbish mind, ithe click quality was poor even the guy I sold it to on eBay complained and I said sorry mate Hawke have told me they are supposed to be like that... Ring them and ask them... He did. I assume. As he didn't ask me for a refund..... My expensive Airmax was genuinely on the slope...what can I do, gotta tell ya... But I'm mostly annoyed that their product

Oh mate. You ain't kidding. I've had it all going on. The fast mount pinnacle it seems is the 6 to 24 x 50 at 100 quid or if your Deeben rep convinces your dealer its a Vantage 169 quid. When I spoke to them... She said loads of stuff which lead he to believe that the Fastmount and Vantage scopes were a rebrand of the same bloody thing for more money. It better be good. Lol
-
Well, in reply to this my last Hawke Fastmount I think has just let go of its final zero. I have a replacement on its way. Last bloody chance. But I spoke to Hawke the other day. I asked why my local dealer was selling fast mount 11465 at Vantage prices. She gave me a load of bull. Why would a local shop buy in fast mount scopes you make in China to sell them at 169 quid when I can buy the same scope online for a ton. You are conning people Deeben Hawke. First thing I will do is get you shite mounts and bin them. If this scope is bent or doesn't hold zero like the other

North east airgun Range (Newcastle/Northumberland)
JakeFury replied to vizlauk's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Can I drive up from down south in the camper and spend the whole week trying to make a hole in the back wall? Haha... Looking ace. Personally I'd have a hard time letting anyone in lol -
Combro or Crony Not an FX Radar. I have a radar. It is accurate I've compared it weighed pellets different Rifles against Combro and Crony.. But it reports no reading at all on lightweight green ammo going at speed. My hunters are all dialled for 11.5 to 11.8 and checked constantly for obvious reasons, I love my hobby!.. I also mess about with springers so can't not have a Chronograph. The FX software is junk on Android the back key doesn't browse pages or takes you out of the app. I'm a computer engineer and former software tester. So I'm qualified at this

So, what is going on at Hawke? First off, my airmax 3-9 was very indefinite click wise... Really horrid non positive and rock back. Yuck. I carry on believing in the brand, and I bought a fast mount with an HW97, just to shoot it. It looses zero and it turns out the mounds are oozing out plastic crud. I check the torque on rails and rings and it's bang on. So I can the plastic crud and mounts get some sports match mounts and the Fastmount is sorted, has remained sorted. I mean.. It keeps zero but its as clear as mud.. Fifty quid Amazon punt scope is much much better. Then, (I

Just go straight to AA Express 4.52 and stop. Lol.. Nothing groups better in a broader range of Rifles IMHO.

Ordered. No... I mean it... I did. Notting else close to it. In terms of looks and cost. And.......... Availability.. Just no one else that can do it. It'll be a one off for me as a friend will do further mods.

Falcon 10-50 x 60 winging it's way to me.
JakeFury replied to JakeFury's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Well I ordered a CS800 which will have in itself additional work done on it before its finished by myself. It will be entirely a one off, as I've made some significant changes and customisations in my order and its going to a friend to add bits those stocks don't have. I should be shooting it in June July... Flipping heck. I'll also need a bigger back jeez. -
Crikey fellas I've had some terrible luck. It starts off with a cheap hunter that dropped a coil. Was replaced under warrenty with a very powerful and accurate version, that was no where near as nice aestheticallly as the old one. Then my Hatsan just didn't even show up. How my little Lightening XL SE brand new was fitted without barrel Shims and has also had to be returned. If you. figure in an Airmax with a crooked Ret. I think the demand on our sport caused by lockdown might be causing some rush jobs on Friday afternoons... Anyway the worst of luck struck when a custo

I'm chatting with two stock makers at the moment mate. My original hand custom stock unfortunately split before finishing, which was... A little upsetting, I have to say the grain on the wood and especially around the pistol grip was not right. It was always going to split of striped and left to dry before staining etc... So Custom Stock... Is being purchased. I can't eat mind... But who cares. -

Sorted it... Unbelievable I never imagine this would work just 11mm extra height And you can see why custom stock and cheek peice is needed jeez. -

Yes mate agreed. I wondered if it was possible to get those in weaver / picatinny and use a one piece weaver picatiny adapter rail to get the height I need to get a pellet in! -
I use silcon based.. Lik....... Actually no f thst. I use the best lube known to man WD40 Grease is only for bits that aren't in exposed movement. As it pulls in grit. WD40 can go everywhere... Accept the inside of the comp chamber or tube or anywhere where captive grease doesn't need to be washed out, underlevers are a bit different here.. I find WD fantastic for cleaning barrels, I mean i pulled through for the forth patch clean no oil.. And re lead with some horrendous VMX pellets over the Chrono... And ready to go... No diesel... Ever. And I mean ever... Never drench

I've just been unlucky mate. My fast mount 3-12 x 50 AO on my Warhawk is solid as bang on clicks maintains zero. By my Airmax 3-9 on my hunter was a zero loosing pain in the arse on SM one piece mounts. I have another scope on the mounts and the gun with no issues. The the compact SF 6-24 Airmax on my 97 lost zero as well but when I went to really dial out what I thought was me mounting the scope poorly I found with thr plum line that the Ret was twisted... So just went the hole hog with the Falcon Torpedo. Lol -

Yeah weight may be the issue.. I just asked John Farbrother what he suggested and used and this came up.... We'll just have to see if I can lift it! -
This is a very enlightening thread for me. It goes against some developments I've been working on. Would love to exchange some ideas

Maybe I should put some pics together as the hole thing gets put together for this imaginary championship I'm gonna not win with my 50 something tremor and general decrepidness... The the making is the best bit. I unboxed it today and wow... Just wow. Its the most outstanding optic I've ever had and its not even premium. Dunno what the hell one of them would be like. -
Those where the days matey. I have one like that on my Baikal from the 80s, in fact it was on my BSA Mercury that was Dad's and we only had one, so when he was busy shooting shot guns we'd pinch it off the Mercury and put it on thr Baikal which was far more accurate amazing thing.. So cheap, so accurate. Mercury could shoot through the shed mind... All the way through long ways and cross ways haha... If thr mower didn't get in the way. Kids. Bloody hell. The amount of Ferret food we got with that.. Flipping heck... The scopes i have nowadays are all centre fire rated, I got rid of m

Assembled in Birmingham afaik it's clearly a quality device. RFD is sorting it won't be an issue... As long as it gets sorted. It needs to be sharpish as I'm not sure this joderal bank scope. I've ordered is gonna bit before the breach break! Hahaha...it hasn't arrived yet. Do you ever take off the rubber mount thing? I've got a fairly heft centre fire rated piece to wack on it... Not sure it'll be needed.
