  1. Non of us are proffessors, (!!), All the best. Cheers.
  2. Thank's for the reply, Mooge. May I suggest if you use some punctuation in your post's, they may be easier to understand. Cheers.
  3. Mooge, mate may I ask a question? Not having a pop or any thing, but how old are you, and how long have you been running dogs ? As I say, I'm not having a go, just your posts seem very immature. Cheers.
  4. Why question what is a good post!! they look like top dogs, so why worry?? Cheers.
  5. I think it's called taking the P**s Andrea, Cheers.
  6. That fawn dog, (bitch ?), looks just like my old saluki. Is it pure or X ? Cheers.
  7. Are you the guy that had a go at me and LDR lately ? NO ? Then obviously not. Cheers.
  8. Andy, 'striker, I was going to ask why you bother answering these people, but me and Longdogrunner got sucked in when one keyboard warrior had a go at us lately, you just can't help replying, even when you know they have never done anything bar sit behind the annonimity of a computer. Half the problem is they don't read thru' the posts thoroughly and don't have any experiences of their own to call on. B.T.W., I would have had one of those pups out of Jack and the saluki x like a shot, and no haggling, If I had room. Cheers.
  9. Yep, mate, well into my 50's. Still no accepting your mistakes or appolagy, ( or balls), last post on this thread by me, your not worth any more time.
  10. You keep saying DOGS, it was DOG singular, and you still cannot admit you were wrong with your accussation and assumption. I was there you were not, you don't know what happened, only jumped to conclusions. I have said of course we don't deliberatly hunt hares in the off season, but when you are out with your dogs as much as us, accidents happen. Grow some balls, accept your'e wrong and get on with your life. End of. Cheers.
  11. Hi INAN, If by "echo", you mean me, let me assure you I'm no ones echo !!!!! YOU accused me of posting a photo of a summer hare, WRONG ! YOU assumed the dog was walked-up and slipped on the hare, WRONG! Did you admit your mistakes ?, No, you just "won't bother to reply". You talk of "antis" and the "end of the game", perhaps your'e an anti, maybe you have never been in the "game" ? I have been in the "game" for over 40 years, I hunt, shoot, fish, coarse, lamp, ferret, etc, as much as my time and budget allow, and will continue to do so as long as phisically possible. Let me give y
  12. Not In August He didnt, avoid "big Rabbits until late Sept" That "big rabbit" was a fit, healthy, adult male, given plenty of law; not a leveret or pregnant or milky doe, so why wouldn't it give a good run, in August as oppossed to September ? Cheers. ,and weve got people like you ,holding up dead summer hares like trophies for everyone to see ,think about it. Get your facts right !!!!! Where on this post do you see me holding a hare or "big rabbit" ??? Read posts carefully before making accusations. LDR is very capable of replying himself, but I think he put up this post to see who
  13. Not In August He didnt, avoid "big Rabbits until late Sept" That "big rabbit" was a fit, healthy, adult male, given plenty of law; not a leveret or pregnant or milky doe, so why wouldn't it give a good run, in August as oppossed to September ? Cheers.
  14. Your'e right about the sun; it's been pissing down for days, coal dust ?, the b*****ds closed our pits down long ago. (and the shipyards and steelworks etc, long ago.) Nothing to do but poach now !!! Cheers.
  15. Go for it Chilli, he is evil, he;s lured an impressionable youngster like me into his evil ways !!! Probablly torturing hamsters as we speak !!!!! Cheers.
  16. You've been coursing DAYTIME hares in the SUMMER !!!! And on HARD GROUND !!!! Shame on you !!!!!!! (whens the next time we will "excercise the dogs" ??). Cheers. :11: :11: :11: And you cropted that last pic to keep Delta out of it !!! Cheers.
  17. Hi SS, no need to agree or disagree with me, I simply say what I mean. There are people on these hunting sites who have never had good dogs or good bags, it's easy to "cyber hunt" !!!
  18. Hi Locke, please tell me where on this thread is the "macho bullshit" or the "my dog is better than yours" is. A guy asked a question and got sensible answers, whats wrong with that ?? If you don't believe the bags that some of us used to get; fine. I personally have nothing to prove, been a dog lad for 40 years and hunted in places most people haven't even heard of, still hunting now. If you have nothing constructive to say, say nowt. Cheers.
  19. Why would you want to catch 70 in one night?? 'Cause we were getting £1 apeice for them in the 70's, not that we ever caught 70 in one night, but 40-50 was regular bags. Cheers.
  20. good haul you got there, where abouts in stirling was that ? if you dont mind me askin That was the 70's , mate, do you really want me to tell ??????? Cheers.
  21. Really couldn't care less, allthough Gin, who bred my pup, preferes brindles. I like brindles as they seem to say "lurcher" or "running dog", but ability comes way above colour !! By the way, a piece of useless information, did you know Muhammed said all dogs were "unclean" except the saluki, unless it was black and tan, then it was the devils dog !!! Cheers.
  22. Hi Andy, I have mentioned the same dog on "smoochers" in the past; My mate and I were visiting my wife who was in the "Princess Mary" hospital, having our daughter, 1977, opposite the Newcastle town moor. The "Hoppings" were on, (June), and in them days loads of pikeys followed the fair around and were allowed on the moor, not any more!! Any way, we decided to see if they had any dogs for sale, they offered us this "stag cross" for £25 , we bid £20 and got it. Turned out to be a cracker!! It broke two front toes during it's working life, and had them "pin fired" and came back just as good, (
  23. This dog would take 150 + rabbits over a 3 night weekend in Stirling, during the 70's. A decent dog, but there are probably better dogs around who simply do not see the numbers we did then. Cheers.
  24. Before this thread develops into two camps, lets just say I doubt very much if any one on this site keeps their dog on a lead all summer or hunts their dog hard all summer !!! My point is there is no problem running a rabbit or two early morning, if you consider the going to hard, use your common sense and don't do it. My 12 m.o. lurcher will burst into full gallop and strike at crisp bags, pop cans, etc, when out for a walk, absolutly no difference to the short runs she has on rabbits. I was walking only 50 yds from my house this morning and my Doberman put up a roe in a place it had no right
