  1. Nar, I just think he's somebody else's second account or someone who won't say who they were on here before. ?
  2. What can you do King. For all I now he might be OK with the dog, he would be fine with a pup but this pup is 26 inch tall, bit of a difference. I'm not on the sofa all day fella, it's if anything happens when I'm at work.
  3. Gi or mC, dark horses on here don't live up to expectations. ? Unless you know who Mary is I'd say you're wrong lol.
  4. Mary, Mary, Mary. I certainly won't be taking advice off you dear. Oh, is it that secret squirrel method of saying "I haven't got a carrot."
  5. He's an odd one Mary, just lurks in the background and jumps in with the wise cracks. ? I wouldn't mind if Mary was the great big hunter but I have my doubts, too busy looking for likes on here.
  6. They can be mate. Today I passed a couple with a big white malamute and a bitch akita, they asked to come over but told them not to bother cos he was wanting to nail the malamute. I've got him now so what can one do, looking back I should have just got a lurcher instead of getting a potential liability.
  7. Having never had dogs Mary i can see why you're getting a tad confused, you're thinking, "It's easy, just build a shed." Who do you think is going to have to take them out first thing in a morning before work. Just worry about why you are being the comedian when you haven't got any hunting dogs yourself. Again, I'm in two minds what to do.
  8. He's the house dog, as soft as a brush with us but they can be dog aggressive. He's here to stay mate, it is what it is.
  9. Keep them very close to your chest, this excuse could take millenia. ?
  10. Yep, and if he gets old of the thing whilst am at work then it's game over.
  11. Question for you Mary, what's your excuse? ?
  12. Yeah I know that fella, that's always best way to get em used to each other. Just let the other dog tag along with someone else in the lead and once they've got rid of that energy they are usually alright. But as you know it's a complete different scenario in the household a hour or so down the line when the dog is in his territory. I'll just have to get my thinking cap on and decide wether it's the best decision or wait until there's a litter on the ground. As much as I'm itching to get one I'm not just going to make a move that I might regret.
  13. It won't happen that fella. Like I said, we have fetched dogs in to the house with my dad's old Akita and he was much worse than mine I'd say. Difference is I fetched the lurcher in when it was a pup of 8 weeks, big difference between that and a 26 inch juvenile. I've always one been one to think with my heart but trying to think with my head, I'm not one for juggling dogs about mate so it's not an easy decision just like that.
  14. My main concern is bringing an older dog in to the house with this Akita. He's just turned 2 and the puppy head has gone and now getting aggressive with dogs. The 8 month old pup is a lovely dog, not going to lie. It's a big old pup, 26 inch already. If i had some pens built there would be no bother but I've told you I'm doing it arse over tit. I'm off work till Wednesday, one minute I've made my mind up I'm going for it, next minute my alter ego says no. ?
  15. Can't leave you alone for a minute, worried to death lol. Here's the latest for those concerned, especially Mary. I'm trying to sort something out. I was in two minds wether to get the dog truth be told for obvious reasons. Messaged the lad today but he ain't got back to me.
  16. Maybe I could be your first and only friend Shaggy?
  17. Now now children, I'm still young enough to join in with your playground activities. ?
  18. Don't know why but this came in to my head.
  19. They aren't pairing mate, they've already mated in the summer. They do group together though in winter, wonder why that is. As for the walk, with no reply yesterday I imagined you weren't up for it, tbh mate I'm trying to sort this dog out that's available.
  20. Is it true that some lines are meant to be yappers, particularly Nuttall stuff?
  21. Akita is a house dog mate so will have to try and get him used to it, be a bit of a nightmare but so far he hasn't been overly bad with other dogs, will have to see. Tbf my dad's Akita was OK with my 3/4 cross but I got that from a pup, he would only nail it the odd time the greedy c**t tried to eat his snap.
  22. Slowly, slowly, I don't want to walk in the kitchen to see a pair of saluki legs hanging out the other dogs mouth. ? Looks like I'll be doing some potty training then if they flourish on being house dogs.
  23. Not going to lie, doing everything arse over tit but that's always been my way. ? I've got no pen in this new house so it's either in the outhouse or in a cage in the kitchen through the night with the Akita until I sort some kennels but I've been told by someone who's been around these types for years that they go downhill if you kennel them up. Was wanting a young pup for obvious reasons, the main one is this big cnut that might not take kindly to it sharing his house. Other than that we are good to go. ?
  24. I'm used to stubborn dogs but if it's a whiner al neck it. ?
