  7. Your right Bosun, I put several hours of training every day for years and it paid off. I think he could be very usefull put over a greyhound. Hes 8 now so who knows whats in the future, maybe i'll win the lottery, get a proper set-up and live a life of leisure, can but dream....................
  8. Have a look at the landywoods website. Mine get chicken wings, turkey necks, chicken carcases, pigs trotters and minced lamb and veg.

  10. The bones provide calcium and help to clean the teeth, I also believe the dogs get enjoyment from crucnhing up the bones rather than hoovering up commercial dry mix...........

  12. Personally I would add some raw meaty bones such as chicken wings to the diet. I don't feed potato and have heard that dogs find it diifficult to digest and is high in starch. Socks or rainmaker could answer this in more depth................

I agree with skycats post, they CAN be very easy to train, the black dog has VERY high drives and although some training was very easy some exercises would have benefitted from owning a whip and chair They are definately a breed thats needs to be occupied. I don't have room for kennels full of dogs and I have always wanted a bull cross so next year thats what i'm getting. Hopefully things will change and I will be able to put the black dog over a greyhound one day, hes 8 so there is still time.   18. Thanks for the kind words lablad I was actually putting up the emotion of disbelief at the info the guy got. Luckily enough he has the chance to go out and get some experience with Leveller.

  20. Thanks Moll If I had the space, time, resources etc I would like to see the outcome of putting the black GSD over a quality greyhound. He about 25/26 tts and 68lb so pretty lightly built and before his retirement could easily manage a 14ft long jump, a 6ft scale and clear a five bar gate.
